Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a look at this Yakima HitchLock for the Yakima hitch mounted bike racks. This HitchLock is going to lock and secure your Yakima hitch mounted bike carrier to your vehicle's hitch receiver, ensuring the safety of your gear. Now, this is going to work with any Yakima hitch mounted bike carrier. And this will simply attach to the end of your existing Yakima hitch pin.
And I happen to have a Yakima hitch pin right here. So, this is gonna be very simple to use. You're just going to push the lock over the end of the pin until it clicks as you just heard there and then it is in place. And then to remove, you're just going to take one of the included keys and you are gonna get two keys. And just insert the key into the lock, give it a quarter of a turn, and it will slide right off.
Now, this lock includes Yakima's Same Key System or SKS locking core and as I mentioned, two keys. And what's nice about these SKS cores is they can be changed out and keyed alike with your other Yakima locks. This also has, as you can see, an attached dust cap and that is going to help keep the dirt and debris out of your lock. And this does have a lifetime warranty. I've used this lock on my old bike rack for many years. I have a new rack and will continue to use this product. It works well. Realistically, just a deterrent - but it helps. Love the etrailer.com site!

Exactly as described on site, and delivered a day earlier than expected (which was fast already). Had to replace the lock I lost and this was an exact match. Except this one has an attached key lock dust cover which is an improvement. I’ve ordered large items and small items (like this one) from etrailer and always been very satisfied with the experience and support where needed.

David at Yakima did a great job of solving my locks and keys problem. The solutions were efficient and covered under warranty. I was VERY satisfied with the excellent service from Yakima. TheYakima EXO Swing Away Storage System w/ 2 Enclosed Cargo Carriers that I bought through etrailer has proven to be an excellent addition to my Mercedes Sprinter van. Easy installation and use. The lockers keep everything nice and dry.

Still good after a year in the bitter and hot elements of the seasons in this Philly urban area. Had to take it off to remove the hitch for placement on another car. Sprayed the lock with WD-40 silicon to protect against the elements. Reconnected easily and works as described. Recommend to all who need a lock.

The lock rubber cap doesn't fit well. I put tape over the lock opening to keep stuff out.

The Yakima HitchLock for my Yakima Bike Rack is exactly what I needed. It is easy to use. Now I don't have to worry about my hitch getting stolen. I appreciate that two keys came with it, so I can keep one safe at home if I were ever to misplace one.

I received this hitchlock today. It fits my Yakima hitch fine and will provide the additional security for the hitch that I was looking for.

The lock works fine. The only problem is that the plastic lock cap and attachment are hard plastic and not flexible enough to actually get the cover onto the lock face. So, I have never used it with the cap on.

Exact device to replace my old one and arrived very quickly and as ordered. My bike rack lock was damaged when it fell off a moving car ( We forgot we had placed it on the car between the hood and the windshield.) We found the black part but the lock part was gone. So happy to find this new part to replace the old one, it is the exact device for locking my bike rack

easy to use and works great so far. only reason for 4 stars, the cover kept popping off. It just seems a bit stiff or short on the strap to stay on. may after breaking it in, it will do better.

The lock does exactly what it is supposed to do. Buying from etrailer was a great experience. When I ordered the lock I was notified it was on backorder. The customer service team kept me updated on when it was going to be back in stock and when it was being shipped. Then they followed up when it was going to be shipped. Good delivery time. Product works as intended. Just a heads up, if you were looking to match this lock with a current Kieu old, please make sure to watch the set up videos so you order correctly. It’s not a problem that I have to use two keys, but I made the mistake of not knowing how to order properly.

This is a replacement for a lost lock. etrailer’s shipping was absolutely top notch. I actually lost the lock while on vacation and was able to replace it before returning because etrailer did such a great job.
