Dual Folding Arms with Anti-Sway Cradles

Thule Camber 4-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Dual Folding Arms with Anti-Sway Cradles with HitchSwitch Lever

The Thule Camber has dual arms that provide excellent support for your bikes. They slope up to provide ground clearance for steep driveways and bumpy roads.

Thule Camber 2-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Hitch Switch Lever

To fold the arms down, pull up the HitchSwitch lever at the top of the mast. This leaves a smaller footprint, so you can keep the rack on your vehicle to park in your garage. And when stored in this configuration, it doesn't take up as much space in your garage.

Thule Camber 2-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Anti-Sway Cradles

HideAway anti-sway cradles with rubber straps hold your bikes firmly in place. Each set of cradles has two straps that secure your bike along the top tube and one that secures the seat post or downtube. This multi-point contact helps keep your bikes from rocking back and forth, reducing bike-to-bike contact. The soft rubber cradles rotate around the rack's arms to accommodate bikes of different styles and shapes.

Thule Camber 4-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Grooves

The cradles have grooves on the surface that prevent your brake and shifter cables from getting pinched.

Thule Camber 4-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Folding Cradles

Ratchet straps hold your bikes firmly in place on the cradles. You can remove the lower straps and fold the cradles up against the arms to make it easier to slide your bikes onto the rack.

HitchSwitch Lever for Easy Tilting

Thule Camber 2-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Tilting

The rack tilts down without your bikes loaded. This means you won't have to remove the whole rack to access your cargo area for grocery runs and other errands.

Thule Camber 2-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Lower HitchSwitch Lever

To tilt the rack down, pull up HitchSwitch lever at the base of the mast. When you're ready to go, lift the rack up until it snaps into place with an audible click.

Threaded Hitch Pin and Hitch Adapter

Thule EasyFold XT

The rack includes a threaded hitch pin that helps eliminate rattle in the hitch receiver during transport.

Thule Camber 2-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Hitch Adapter

You can install the rack in a 1-1/4" hitch or in a 2" hitch. To use it in a 1-1/4" hitch, simply remove the adapter with the included Allen key.

Available Security and Adapter Bar

Thule Helium Pro 2-Bike Hanging-Style Rack LocksThule Helium Pro 2-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Locks

A cable lock and hitch lock (sold separately) are available to secure your bikes to the rack and the rack to your vehicle. Additionally, One-Key System locks (sold separately) let you make all your Thule products keyed alike.

Thule Helium Pro 2-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Locking Cable

If you have a women's bike, kid's bike, or any other bike without a straight, horizontal top tube, you will need an adapter bar (sold separately) to properly mount your bike. The bar fits between the seat post and handlebar stem post of your bike to create a top tube so your bike hangs level on the rack.

I love the bike rack itself. Works great for holding my bike. It is heavy for me to load and unload though, as I have to take it off to fit my car in the garage. I also do not like the straps that hold the bike on. You would think they could come up with something better!

For a rack that is about 10 pounds lighter I recommend taking a look at part # B202-2. The straps will be very similar though.

Products arrived timely and well packed.

Still working strong! I have had no issues, big or small with bike rack. Easy load and unload. Bikes are secure whether taking short or long trips. No problem with rubber straps. Still hold bikes securely. Most importantly, rack doesn’t obscure my sight lines.

by:

Installed on 2023 Toyota Tacoma. I like how compact it is when not in use, and it can fold down to allow the tailgate to open fully. My only complaints are (1) need to purchase the locking pin separately (it should come with the unit at this price point) and (2) the straps that hold the bikes in place are difficult to use. I struggle to undo them. Overall, pleased with my purchase.

by:

Not happy with it yet. hard to secure a full suspension mountain bike. Trying a different way to place my bike on the rack.

You mentioned that you were having difficulty with attaching the full suspension mountain bike. I would like to see if I can help and I have a few questions that I would like to ask. Can you send a picture of your bike. Have you tried using a bike adapter bar?

Etrailer Expert

Jenny N.

4/29/2022

I believe that it would be beneficial to look at using a bike adapter bar with the bike. The bike adapter bar connects from under the handle bar to under the bike seat. As in the picture below. If you can measure that distance then I can see which adapter bar would work best for you.

There are a few bike adapter bars that I recommend. The Swagman bike adapter bar part # 64005 which is rated for 35 pounds or the Thule adapter bar that is rated for 50 pounds part # TH982XT.

One year later: working very well. One star off for a bit of squeaking when there's no bike on it - but a half-star off would be more fair. Fits my fat-tire-bike + regular mountain bike, though the fat tire makes it crowded. Very happy with the purchase and would get it again.

by:

I'm still loving my bike rack after one year! It's so easy to maneuver up and down when I need to use the hatch to access the back of my Jeep. I've become an expert (with practice) of getting my bicycle steadfastly secured using the straps that are provided. I've owned 3 bike racks in my lifetime and this one is by far the highest quality one. I'm very satisfied! You will be also.

by:

Packing could be better, item was bouncing around the box and hardware was loose.
I don't think anything was lost, won't know for sure until it's put together.

by:

I haver transported my 2 bikes hundreds of miles with this Thule carrier with no problems or worries. Best feature is the two release mechanisms: One lowers the bike support arm into a vertical position for compactness; the other lowers the entire carrier (with or without a bike attached) so that the tailgate of your vehicle can be opened without hitting the rack. The latches work, feel, and sound solid. So much easier than the steel pins I had to remove / reinsert on my old rack. Only minor issue is the securing strap that is supposed to wrap around the down tube of your bike frame; for my bikes this strap is too far away from the down tube to be of much utility. But the 2 main straps that secure the bike to the carrier via the top (horizontal) tube (or a bike frame adapter like Hollywood Racks if you are using one) work just fine. Heavy steel construction, beautifully welded and assembled.

by:

This Thule Camber 2 bike rack is ery sturdy and reliable, everything that I hoped for - thanks!

by:

Solid as a Thule is. Unfortunately it doesn't tilt down enough to open my Wrangler but we'll make it work.

by:

I didn't realize this thing is really built well, it's heavy and all materal is thick and sturdy. My only concern is my reciever is 2 1/8th inch square, the filler is exactly 2 inch which does leave some up and down movement. I suppose I could shim it, but not sure if that will stay. Otherwise this is a built like battleship bike rack for transporting bikes.

by:

easy to put together - well packaged - easy to use
only complaint - I have to put a shim into the hitch so it does not
move up & down while locked in

by:

Functioned perfectly, only problem was 2 rubber straps broke , other than that nice product.

by:

Easy to install and works like a charm . Being able to open the hatch on my Jeep by simply flipping back the bike rack is so convenient..

by:

Overall excellent product and better customer service. Thank you for the follow up. I have already referred some of my friends to you. The multiple pictures and videos and extensive specs make a huge difference in decision making.

Great! Absolutely made the right decision. I like I can take it off quickly with one bolt if I want to go through a carwash. Perfect for a 1 or 2 person household.

by:

It took minutes to install the rack to our Jeep Grand Cherokee.

by:

2nd time buyer!

by:

Excellent service, excellent product, excellent price.

by:

Was able to assemble and install in about 10-15 minutes. locks into place with no wiggle.

by:

Quick and easy ordering. Arrived when it was supposed to!

Exactly as described. A great heavy duty purchase

  • Will the Thule Camber 2 Tilt Far Enough to Allow Motorhome Slide Out to Be Opened
You could easily carry the Thule Camber 2 # TH9058, which is a tilt away rack, but I don't think a swing away rack would make any difference on an RV since it would likely not swing far enough to get out of the way of the slide out. I can't tell you for sure whether or not you'll be able to tilt the rack away and still open the slide all the way since it depends on how far it comes out. The Camber 2 tilts back at a 45 degree angle, but it's tough to know if it will drop low enough to clear...

  • Are Frame Cradles of Thule Camber Bike Rack # TH9058 Designed to Move
The frame cradles on the Thule Camber part # TH9058 do fit pretty tight to the arms of the rack but they are designed to be twisted and moved to best accommodate the bikes. They are designed to fit tightly so that they don't move while your bike is loaded.

  • Bike Rack Recommendation for a 2013 Ford Fusion
Actually for your 2013 Ford Fusion we don't have any trunk mounted bike racks that are listed as fits but I do have a solution I can provide. You would first need to install a trailer hitch but then a hitch bike rack would be your best solution. The most popular bike rack we carry that has been confirmed to fit this vehicle is the Thule Camber 2 part # TH9058. We asked our demo and install guys to name their favorite, most easy-to-use bike racks and this one showed up in nearly everyone's...

  • Recommended Tilting 2 Bike Rack for Jeep Liberty
Thule makes a great product that would serve you well. This being said, for the money, I believe that the Thule Camber 2 part # TH9058 would be a great choice for you. This rack features the anti-sway cradles. The upright portion of the rack tilts for access to the rear of the vehicle (the bikes must be removed before tilting). The arms that the bikes hang from also fold down for easier storage.

  • Why Wont 1-1/4 inch Hitch Bike Rack Fit in Class I Hitch of Vehicle
What you have found in your hitch tube is an intentional device added to the hitch to prevent you from using a Class II only hitch accessory in a Class I hitch. Class I hitches are lower capacity and Class II accessories will be too heavy and could potentially damage the hitch. So the best solution you have is to go with a bike rack that is Class I compatible. The most popular bike rack we carry that has been confirmed to fit this vehicle is the Thule Camber 2 part # TH9058. We asked...

  • Is Front To Back Movement to be Expected on the Thule Roadway # TH9058?
There will be some play front to back in the Thule Camber rack # TH9058. It sounds like you are getting the normal amount especially if it's only about 1/4 an inch. I've linked a video demonstration of this rack going through our test course for you to see the slight play to compare it to yours. The reason for the movement is the hinge system. There is a small amount of play there and that translates into a movement of the rack.

  • How to Determine if a Trailer Hitch is a 1-1/4 or 2 Inch on a Jeep Liberty
All you have to do is measure the hitch opening left to right or top to bottom, it doesn't matter. Don't measure the outside of the hitch, just the opening. Take a look at the picture I have included. Whether you Jeep Liberty factory hitch is a 1-1/4 inch or a 2 inch, the bike rack # TH9058 would fit just fine. Also check the hitch for a sticker that lists what Class it is and/or the capacity. If it is a Class I or has a tongue weight capacity of 200 pounds or less then you have to...

  • Can Reese 2 Bike Hitch Mounted Folding Rack Carry 1 Mens Mountain Bike and 1 Trek Road Bike
The Thule Camber 2 Bike Hitch Mounted Rack # TH9058 referenced in your question is designed to carry 2 bikes and would work with your 2 bikes. You will load the first bike on the cradle closest to the vehicle. You will then load the second bike onto the cradle so that the handle bars face in the opposite direction from the first bike. This is to provide the necessary clearance for the handlebars so they do not come into contact with each other.

The Thule Camber 2 Bike Rack part # TH9058 comes almost completely assembled. The only thing you will need to do is attach the shank/stinger to the upright which is only two bolts as you can see in the attached photo. There are no additional tools needed for this either as Thule includes the only one you need. In regards to compatibility, it will work just fine with your 2017 Honda CR-V and it will even allow you to tilt the bike rack down to access your rear hatch.
