Video Transcript for Draw-Tite Hitch Ball - Trailer Hitch Ball - 19257 Review

Today, we'll be reviewing part number 19257. This is the Tow Ready Hitch Ball with the 1-7/8-inch ball diameter, has a medium shank, and it's rated at 2000 pounds. The diameter of our shank is going to measure 3/4 inch, so in selecting a ball mount, you need to make sure that it has a ball hole diameter of at least 3/4 inch. Our shank length is going to measure 2-3/8 inches, and this is designed to fit drawbar thicknesses of 3/8 inch to 1-1/4 inches, and our hitch ball has a capacity of 2000 pounds. Now, it has a really nice chrome-plated finish, so it's going to stand up well against corrosion and rust, and it also provides wrench flats on each side of the ball at the base. That way, we can securely grip it and torque it down to the specifications from the manufacturer. The way this would work is you would take your hitch ball, place it onto the ball mount, put the lock washer on, and then, you would thread on your nut. Then, all you would need to do is torque it down to the specifications listed by the manufacturer. That's going to complete today's review of part number 19257. This is the hitch ball with the 1-7/8-inch ball diameter from Tow Ready.

Right size, right fit etc but the key has been the great service from e-trailer's staff. I took a junky 300 trailer kit and with parts from e-trailer, larger wheels, winch, bearing buddies, spare tire mount, jack stand and made a darn good boat trailer for my daughter's sunfish. got great advice, great service, and fast shipping. Nice group of people at e-trailer.

I have a golf-cart that works like a lawn tractor with a trailer hitch that I use to pull trailers and other utilities. I recently lost the trailer hitch and could not use the golf cart anymore. I knew I had to replace it and had purchased items from etrailer before. After I waded through the ton of products they offer, I found my replacements. I just received them today and put them together. I was impressed with the solid construction. My prior hitch was a square tube, this one is one solid piece. I had messed up on my original order and ordered hitch and ball that did not match. The etrailer staff caught my error and instead of just placing the order they contacted me with my error. I did research and found a ball that was compatible. etrailer staff modified my order and shipped a solution that worked for my situation. You CANNOT GO WRONG dealing with personnel like this. THANK YOU EVERYONE AT etrailer!!!!!!

by:

The hitch receiver looks great. I just have to install it---which looks also to be an easy job.

by:

Customer service answered my questions promptly and professionally. The hitch order arrived promptly and I Installed it yesterday. The installation videos for the hitch and electrical wiring were very helpful. They were straight forward and seeing the install gave me the confidence to do it myself. Only possible suggestion is on the videos state the socket size of nuts, Trailer ball, and the ground nut/screw. Overall very good service & follow up!

by:

Almost got lost in the UPS truck. It fell out a hole in the hitch box, and was rolling around his truck. He was smart enough to associate it to the "eTrailer.com" box, so he handed it to me, upon arrival.. Nice job UPS. Oh, by the way the ball is "high quality" and looks great on my new hitch.

by:

Very fast shipping and exactly what I w anted.

Then to make things better I received my ordered item in less than 4 days. I have only ever had very good service and totally satisfied with everything etrailer.

  • Parts Needed to Transport 2 Dirt Bikes with a 2017 Buick Encore
The only hitch that we have for your 2017 Buick Encore is the Curt Class I Round Tube Hitch # C11527. As long as your Encore has at least a 200 pound capacity, you could use this with a bike rack like the Saris Freedom # SA4412B to get the job done. This hitch has a weight capacity of 200 pounds tongue weight. You will need to subtract the weight 28 lb weight of the carrier to get 172 pounds remaining for the weights of your bikes. If you're wanting to transport actual dirt bikes then...

Unfortunately, we don't have a video of us installing it on your exact vehicle but it's the same basic process for any since it's a universal harness. It also installs similarly to the 119176KIT you saw the YouTube video on. If you don't already have a trailer hitch receiver on the Volvo I recommend the Draw-Tite # 36297. You must always go with the lowest rated component in your setup as the overall capacity. For trailer wiring I would recommend the Tow Ready Harness part # 119178KIT that you referenced. For...
