Wiring Harness for 2013 Mazda CX-5 Pulling Trailer With LED Lights
Question:
I have a 2013 Mazda CX-5 and have a small 16 foot trailer that just has LED tail lights tail, brake and turn signal. There are no other running lights to add to the electrical load. Will the C56011 be okay to use with this set-up or what do I need to do.

Helpful Expert Reply:
There are two wiring harnesses for your 2013 Mazda CX-5 and the correct one will actually depend on if your Mazda has LED taillights as opposed to the trailer you are pulling.
So you can use the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56011 on your '13 Mazda CX-5 so long as the vehicle does not have LED taillights.
If your Mazda does have LED taillights you will need the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118563, and both wiring harnesses will work perfectly with your small trailer that has LED lights. I have added a link to video installs of both harnesses on a 2013 Mazda CX-5 for you to check out.
Should you also need a trailer hitch I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch # C12170, and I have added a link to an install of this hitch on a '13 CX-5 for you to take a look at. The correct ball mount for this hitch is the Curt # C45521, and a pin and clip # F-4, so the only other thing you need is a hitch ball, either 1-7/8" Hitch Ball # 19257 or 2" Hitch Ball # 19258.
