Will the # 75712 Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Trailer Hitch Fit on a 2007 Jeep Compass
Question:
Will this hitch also fit onto a 2007 model Jeep Compass? All of the reviews make reference to 2010-12. Also, what is the main difference between the Class III hitch and the Class II. The other hitch I was considering was the 1-1/4inch Class II Frame Hitch 36423. Thanks for the help.

Yes, the Draw-Tite Class III Max-Frame Trailer Hitch, # 75712, is a confirmed fit for the 2007 Jeep Compass. The Draw-Tite Class II Trailer Hitch, # 36423, is also a confirmed fit for your Compass.
The main difference between these two hitches for your vehicle is that the Class III hitch is going to provide you with a 2 inch receiver opening which will allow many more accessories to be used in the hitch.
If you plan on towing with your 2007 Compass, you will need a wiring harness, # C55050 and a ball mount kit, # EBMK4, you go with the 2 inch Class III option that I recommend.
If you go with the Class II hitch you will need the Class II Drawbar, # 36061, and a 1-7/8 inch hitch ball, # 19257, or 2 inch hitch ball, # 19258, depending on the trailer coupler on the trailer you will be towing.
