Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick lookMichael at this magnetic RV door holder. This is a two piece magnetic door holder that's going to hold your RV door open, and that's gonna free up your hands, to carry in your luggage, or move around as needed, without having to worry about opening the door. This can be mounted inside or outside your RV. It does have these strong magnets here in the stem that are going to firmly hold the door open even in strong winds. So it is going to be much easier to operate, and it gives you a lot more stability than your traditional plastic tabs that you have to kind of fit into place.
You basically just push your door open, it'll catch in place, and then it will allow you to pull away to close the door again. This does have a holding power of about 12 and a half pounds. This can be installed horizontally or vertically depending on your needs. They do include the mounting hardware to get this mounted either onto the floor or ceiling, if you're wanting to mount it vertically or horizontally onto your baseboards or wall. And then the cap will mount onto the back of your door so that it will very easily hold that door open.
So this is a door stop design, so your door will kind of slam into this. Now, it's not going to provide much shock absorption like you'd expect from a rubber door stop. It is a pretty solid opening there, but it will prevent your door from continuing further and potentially damaging your wall. When we have it combined our overall length, we're looking at right about three and a half inches long. The stem itself is approximately three inches, The base is about one and three quarters inch in diameter.
Our cap here is just a little over an inch and a half, we'll call it inch and five eights in diameter. This cap is metal, so it is going to firmly connect to the magnets in the stem there. It does have a black powder coat finish on it to resist rust and corrosion, especially if it's mounted outside. Our stem is a a plastic construction, but it does feel pretty sturdy. It doesn't feel very flimsy or brittle, so I think it will hold up well for you.
And then of course, you won't have to worry about rust and corrosion because it is a plastic construction. So if you are looking for an easy way to keep your door open, this is going to be a great way to go about that. That completes our look for today again I'm Michael with etrailer.com. I put one on the bathroom door ( on the floor) works great. I leave it open most the time. But closes east when needed.
I also put two ( one low & one about midway) on the outside door. Before it only opened halfway with a ram holding door open. Now it opens almost flat against the camper just making it easier for how I use camper.
We like to hang out on the Seawall the door sticking out the middle was a hassle
Used it to hold a glass shower door closed. It has just the right amount of hold to keep the door from popping open and allowing water to drip on the floor. It's not in an RV, but it works just fine.
Still working after a year. This replaced an OEM part that was broken when we took delivery of the RV.

I had to make a bracket for the Magnetic Door Holder to line up. After making the bracket and attaching it will Stainless Steel screws the door holder functioned as designed. I left the door open on a windy day and the door stayed in the open position. I can now close the door from the door opening instead of going down the stairs and flipping up the latch. Plus there is no more rattling like with the other holder.

Allowed me to put my golf cart in the back of my truck with the tailgate down and still pull my camper.
Such a simple thing like a door stop but when it’s not you RV it’s a big deal. I ordered 2 by mistake, I only needed one. But they called me the next day just to check and see if I needed one or two. THATS A GOOD COMPANY ! I also received it when it was promised. I think they’re awesome!
Keeps my door from hitting a vent window on windy days. The magnet is not very strong and won't hold the door open in little wind
I was searching the web for a replacement door stop for my Rockwood 5th wheel and some items came up but they were slightly different from a direct replacement. Then I finally found this etrailer magnetic door stop which was an exact match to what I needed. I'm not to happy about the design and materials but I wasn't looking to improve the part, just duplicate part and that's what this is. Great service, Quick shipping, thank you etrailer.
It installed easily. It works well, however I only installed it yesterday. It should be mentioned in the combo lock description that the handle protrudes enough to require the longer magnetic holder.

Works great. Do not have to latch and unlatch the door each time. Holding up well so far.
If you put the metal part straight on the magnet it’s very strong.when you open the door it lands on the side of the magnet,not nearly as strong.
Unit sticks out from rv, creating a hazard. Can’t install on my unit due to lack of structure for attachment.
It looks to me the exact replacement I need for my door stop for my entry door on our 2022 camper
So much better than the latching type. The magnet is strong enough to hold the door open even in a stiff breeze at the coast. It takes longer to plan your placement than it does to actually install it. And of course the usual easy ordering and shipping from e-trailer.
Product is as described, was easy to install and holds the door open even when it is windy outside.

Product works after a year in use. Magnet strength is enough to keep door open during windy days, but light enough not to be a hassle closing. Perfect!
