The hitch was well made and relatively easy to install. I installed it on a 2016 Golf Sportwagen LE. I can confirm that as others have stated that I did NOT need to trim the bumper fascia (as the instructions said I would need to). I separated the black, lower part of the fascia from the top part before reinstalling the main fascia. I was then able to snap the lower part on after fitting it around the hitch chain loops.
A couple of other notes: the LE has the rear cross traffic alert. The sensors are bolted on each side of the bumper. I thought with the additional thickness of the sensors that the bolts might not be long enough but they fit fine.
As has been mentioned in other reviews, the torx screws in the wheel wells have very little clearance. I highly recommend getting a torx racquet set. I bought one at a hardware store for about $20 (Kobalt 24-Piece Standard (SAE) and Metric Mechanic's Tool Set with Hard Case). This makes the removal of those screws straight-forward.
Joints are soldiered and have to wonder when under load, that is within specs if the pressure of pulling a small trailer( 3x5) loaded with about 500 lbs. over todays poorly maintained roads will hold up under the stress? There is a bit of a wobble when that mount is inserted into the sleeve of the hitch and I am a bit concerned that the loose fitting may also impacted on this mount to function properly!
Service was outstanding, everything fit exact, and delivery on time. Most outstanding were the videos on how to install, spot on. Hitch took thirty minutes, wire harness forty-five This was on a Prius V. This will be used to pull a small boat , boat and trailer 600lb. Thanks for your outstanding help.

Well-built, but it's not obvious which end is up! My mechanic installed the hitch ball on the wrong side.
Quality product; very sturdy. Included pin has a groove on one end rather than a hole to hold the cotter pin. Seems secure but I haven't really tested it on a long trip.
The product was as described and shipped quickly. It is of high quality and strength and fits perfectly for our utility trailer.

Great! Ive used it a bunch of times and it is always a perfect solution. I would purchase it again in a minute.
It's a heavy welder metal bar with holes in the right places. :) Had a paint ding on mine, but I can't imagine that could stop this from working fine for decades.
