Measurement From Draw-Tite Hitch Receiver To the Ground On 2018 Toyota Prius
Question:
I was wondering what the height is from the ground to the receiver. I.e is it 10 inches, 12 inches etc... I am looking to tow a trailer that has a level coupler height of 13.5 inches so I was wondering if I need a hitch or raised one or level. Thanks!

The Draw-Tite part # 24966 for the 2018 Toyota Prius has about 12 inches from the ground to the top of the receiver tube when installed on a 2018 Toyota Prius which I have attached the installation video for. Please keep in mind, variables like tire size may change that measurement slightly on your specific vehicle.
To figure out how much rise or drop you need to tow level, measure from the bottom of the coupler on your trailer to the ground. The difference between 12 inches and your measurement of 13.5 inches is how much rise or drop you need to tow level. Since the trailer sits up higher you need a rise. I recommend Class I Draw-Tite ball mount with 1 inch rise part # 3590 to tow your trailer level. I recommend ball with 3/4" shank diameter to fit the ball mount part # 19258 for a 2" ball or part # 19256 for a 1-7/8" ball.
