They’re beat up! I mean I know they’ll get that way eventually but I shouldn’t receive them in sad shape. And the packaging….? How hard is your job? ??

by:

Nice looking product. I have every confidence it will work as advertised. Paid a little more $ but it’s made in the USA.

by:

Works as described to soften the jostling as you go down the road. It made a noticeable improvement in noise as well as jerking of the truck back and forth. As always, eTrailer.com's service and shipping was outstanding.

by:

I received my shipment on time and in good condition. The hitch and ball fit with the correct measurements I needed and looks to be built with high quality but I haven’t pulled my trailer with it yet to rate how it works. I hope to do that soon.

by:

The cushioned ball mount looks very strong and will work to cut down the trailer
noise while towing. The 2" ball also looked very strong and well made. Looking
forward to many miles of trouble free towing.

by:

The receiver hitch was exactly what I wanted and ordered. It was delivered promptly with no issues. I'll be back to etrailer when I need trailer parts or accessories. Thanks.

by:

Great product...never fail me after first year of use....I recommend!!

by:

This hitch is exactly as advertised. It was easily found on your website and I sent in a question early on regarding the product before I ordered it and got an email response with the needed answer in less than 24 hours!

by:

I received hitch very quickly. I will come here for all my trailering needs for certain in the future.

by:

Pulls my heavy trailer with no flex
Great
product

by:

Nice V5 drawbar. The shock absorbing works really well.

by:

Awesome

by:

This did what's the reviews said it would do. No complaints.

by:

Great product, feels like quality & does the job.

by:

Delivery was prompt. Hitch is well made

Not that many non-adjustable option for a 12” drop and this one is the best! Love the cushion and it’s very strong. I put that to the test today when I got rear ended with it in the back of my truck. This thing saved the back of my Ram. Came right back to etrailer and ordered a new one!

by:

Makes for a great hard-core dirt road set up with a 3000 pound trailer, in conjunction with the Curt rocker ball, Towing with an F150 over many miles of washboards, down through washes where the road was washed out, etc. Really makes for a gentler set up on the equipment in the trailer and the truck. Thanks a lot E-trailer!

by:

Needed a large drop hitch to pull my car trailer. This item came quickly and worked perfectly.

by:

Works great. Needed the drop to tow a utility trailer at level.

by:

Very useful for adding tie down points. Only reason for not giving 5 stars was the need to cut off the extra length and drill new holes farther up for the pins so the units fit better.

by:

This extreme rise ball mount is what I need to make my passenger car into a back-up trailer puller. It is well built and has a welded strut to reinforce the long rise/drop ball mount. The "shock damper" feature is sure to help absorb the leverage movement that a rise/drop ball mount passes on to the hitch receiver itself.

by:

My usage of your hitch is a bit unusual, I think. I pull a two ton roller with my Ram and I've used your cushioned hitch to smooth out the process. The roller Lunette just dropped over a 2" ball and then banged and jerked on the ball neck. Check out the photos for my adaptation.. I can flip it over and use the 2" ball!

Have enclosed some photos.

The cushion is holding up very well and it takes a beating!!

Thanks

by:

As always etrailer has the best products, best information and customer service, plus fast shipping! Thank you again!

by:

I added a hidden hitch and this is just what I needed.

  • Version of Convert a Ball Cushioned Ball Mount with 6 inch Drop That Fits 2.5 inch Hitch
Yes, the # AMSC6HD could be used with a hitch reducer sleeve like you mentioned but since these types of adapters can cause a bit of movement your best option would be the version of this ball mount that is designed to fit 2-1/2 inch hitches directly part # AMSCV-6. This has the same 6 inch drop but has a higher 18,000 lb towing capacity.

  • Will a Cushioned Ball Mount Work with Surge Trailer Brakes
The cushion inside of the Convert-A-Ball cushioned ball mount # AMSC4 would have only a slight affect on the surge coupler on your trailer. You may not even notice it. The cushion is very dense and the more pressure that is put on it the firmer it gets. It would take more force to compress that cushion than to actuate the surge coupler. Cushioned ball mount # AMSC4 has a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop but there are other options if you need a different rise or drop to tow the trailer level: #...

  • Is it Okay to Use Cushioned Ball Mount with More Capacity than Needed
It really doesn't hurt to have a ball mount with more capacity than needed. If anything it's just added insurance that the ball mount wouldn't fail. For 14k capacity cushioned ball mounts we have the part # AMSC2HD which has a 2 inch drop, part # AMSC4HD which has a 4 inch drop and part # AMSC6HD which has a 6 inch drop.

  • What Size is the Hitch Pin Hole of the Convert-a-Ball part # AMSC6HD
The hitch pin hole diameter of the Convert-a-Ball part # AMSC6HD that you referenced is 5/8 inch which is the standard size for ball mounts like this that fit 2 inch hitches.

  • How Do You Orient Convert-A-Ball Ball Mount AMSC6HD To Be Used In Rise Position?
You are correct. To get the 4-3/4" rise you need with the Convert-A-Ball Ball Mount for 2" Hitches - 4-3/4" Rise, 6" Drop - 14,000 lbs # AMSC6HD you were looking at you will insert the ball mount so the portion that the hitch ball installs into will be point up. You will need a hitch ball with a 1-1/4" diameter shank so I recommend the 2" # A-90 or 2-5/16" # 19286. I included videos for each of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.

  • Can Hitch Ball Bushing F-2 Be Used With Convert-A-Ball Ball Mount AMSC6HD
Yes, you can absolutely use the hitch ball bushing and ball mount together without any issues at all: - Hitch Ball Bushing - 1-1/4" to 1" # F-2 - Convert-A-Ball Ball Mount for 2" Hitches # AMSC6HD The slight gap with the small difference in height isn't going to be problematic in regards to tightening the hitch ball in the ball mount. You will still be able to fully tighten the hitch ball on the Convert-A-Ball ball mount without issue and retain the full capacity of a hitch ball like...

  • Can Hitch Stabilizer be Used With Convert-A-Ball Cushioned Ball Mount For 2" Hitch
Good question, and you can definitely still use a hitch stabilizer with the cushioned Convert-A-Ball Ball Mount for 2" Hitches # AMSC6HD. Even with a stabilizer there is still going to be some play in the hitch, so combining it with the cushioning of the Convert-A-Ball is going to be the best way overall to reduce any bounce or rattling, and I recommend going with the Brophy Stabilizer Clamp # RSCP. You can secure the ball mount to your hitch with Hitch Lock # e98880 and for a hitch ball...

  • How to Match Different Heights of Hitch Ball and Trailer Coupler for Safe Level Towing
Thank you for providing a photo of your trailer coupler. Trailers should always be level when hitched. If a trailer is out of level when towed it will tend to have more sway. I notice you have weight distribution (WD) lift brackets on your trailer frame. If you are using a WD system you can get a new shank that has enough height drop to let your trailer be level when hitched. Based on your 6-inch height difference between the hitch ball and coupler, you can use a WD shank with 5-6 inches...

The Draw-Tite Ball Mounts, item # 4283, does not come in a 6 inch rise configuration. At this time we do not have a ball mount with a 6 inch rise available. • How to Pick Out Ball Mount for 2014 Toyota Sienna Towing Boat Trailer
I wasn't able to find the coupler height of the trailer you are interested in so your best option would be to contact who you are buying it from and have them measure from the ground to the bottom of the coupler lip with the trailer level. When we installed the Draw Tite # 76112 on a 2014 Toyota Sienna like yours we found that it measured 12 inches from the ground to the top of the hitch opening. If you compare that 12 inch figure to the coupler height you get for your trailer you'll be...
