Today we're going to be taking a look at an equalizer for 2 inch wide slipper springs. This unit connects slipper springs on dual or triple action trailers. What you would do is slip the arched end of the front spring into the equalizer so it rests of the keeper bolt which would install on this side of the unit. Keeper bolts are going to be sold separately. Then you would attach the rear-most spring with a shackle bolt through the eye on this side of the equalizer. Shackle bolt's are going to be sold separately as well. The unit is designed to suspend from the center hanger that's on your trailer.

What this equalizer does is it's designed to really transfer a load in sudden impacts from one axle to another by allowing or permitting movement between the axles. It's going to help distribute weight evenly, it's going to result in a smoother ride for the trailer. It's going to do a better job of protecting the contents of whatever it is that you're hauling. It's going to be constructed of high quality, quarter inch thick hot rolled steel with a raw finish on it. This is designed for a 2 inch wide slipper leaf spring.

The center bolt hole diameter, we can take a measurement of that real quick. That's going to measure 7/8 of an inch. The side bolt hold diameter for mounting the spring, which would be the larger hold, that's 9/16 of an inch. This bolt hole diameter down here for the keeper bolt is going to be about 3/8 of an inch. If we take a measurement from the center of the center hole to this hole over here, that's going to give us a measurement center on center of around 5 and a half to 5 and 9/16 of an inch. Right in that area.

Center of the center hole to the center of the hole for the keeper bolt, that's going to give us a measurement of right on 6 inches. Overall height, that's going to measure 3 and a half inches. The overall length, measuring from edge to edge is going to measure right around 13 inches. That's going to do it for today's look at the equalizer for 2 inch wide slipper springs.
