I have used B&W hitches for many years and I've been very happy with the quality of their products. etrailer makes it easy to shop for these hitches since the B&W site is terrible. I was able to find the correct size and all dimensions were listed clearly. Thanks again!

by:

heavy solid fits thanks

by:

It is refreshing to still see American companies selling “Made in USA” quality these days.

by:

Great product would purchase again.

by:

Ball mount is awesome and super high quality and heavy duty over and above what I will need to tow my 7000 pound car trailer but I like it that way! Great job to everyone involved. My hat is off to the fabricators, made in USA Mount arrived without a nick, perfect weld marks and flawless show quality paint job. I may not even use it, it is that nice. Maybe put it in a display case and start a collection. Fast shipping, 2 days

by:

Really heavy duty solid steel 2 inch square, really thick steel tongue and and tight fitting hole for the ball bolt so little chance of ball rattle or slipping. Nice smooth welding and finish.

by:

Product is extremely heavy duty. much more than I will need, but I appreciate quality made is USA products. Etrailer packaging not so great. Box was torn by weight of this item, which caused a chip in the finish of the item.

by:

Solid shaft, weighty, but expecting a long life from it. I'll have to hunt around for someone who has the right tool for getting [torque specs] on the ball, but shouldn't be a big problem. Package tracking was excellent and on time.

by:

Made from solid bar stock. B&W Made in the USA can not go wrong. Thank you Stacy for helping me order this product.

  • Ball Mount Recommendation for Draw Tite Hitch for 2007 Toyota Tundra
It sounds like maybe you are looking for just a ball mount to go along with a hitch that you have installed on your 2007 Toyota Tundra. The recommended ball mount to go along with the hitches that are sold for the 2007 Toyota Tundra is the B&W part # BWBMHD30010. This ball mount can do a rise of 1 inch and a drop of 2 inches. The best way to pick out a ball mount is to first determine how much rise or drop you would need to tow your trailer level. To see how this would be done check out...

  • How to Pick Out the Correct Rise/Drop Ball Mount to Tow a Trailer Level
The amount of drop you would need for a ball mount to use with your 2012 Range Rover Sport will depend largely on the trailer you plan on towing. The goal is to pick a ball mount that will allow your trailer to be towed as level as possible. To see how to pick out the correct ballmount rise/drop check out the FAQ article I attached to the right. It covers everything. Once you know what drop you need I also attached a link to the right that has all of the ball mounts we carry. You will...

  • Can the End of a Ball Mount Be Trimmed Down to Fit in a Trailer Hitch on a 1999 GMC Yukon
Part of what givesa ball mount its capacity is the amount of material inside of the receiver. By trimming it down it makes the capacity unknown and could compromise the structural integrity of the ball mount. Also, if it is a solid steel shank, trimming it is no small task! The best option is a new ball mount that is a better fit. I recommend B&W ball mount # BWBMHD30010. It has the same rise and drop spec, same weight rating (though the tongue weight capacity is limited to 1,600 pounds...

  • What Length Ball Mount Do I Need To Use?
Longer ball mounts are helpful for creating clearance from the rear of the vehicle to allow you to lower your tailgate while towing and not interfere with a tongue mounted jack or install hitch mounted accessories (like bike racks) that may require more clearance from the rear of the vehicle. The length that you'll want to use really comes down to whether or not you really need an extra 1-3/4" between your trailer coupler and your truck. For all intents and purposes, the # BWBMHD30010...

  • Is a Ball Mount Spacer Available for a Hitch Ball with a 1 Inch Diameter Shank
To use the Curt 2 Inch Trailer Ball, # 40038, with the B&W Ball Mount, # BWBMHD30010, you will want to use the Reese Hitch Ball Bushing, # 58184. This will not reduce the towing or tongue weight capacity of the hitch ball or the ball mount, but you will be limited to the 12,000 lb towing capacity of the hitch ball since it is the lowest rated component.

The BandW Heavy-Duty Ball Mount - 1 Rise, 2 - 8-1/2 Long - 16,000 lbs # BWBMHD30010 is very similar tot he Curt Heavy Duty Forged Ball Mount with 2-5/16" Ball - 1" Rise, 2" Drop - 15,000 lbs # C45331 which has the same hitch ball shank dimension of 1-1/4 inches as well as the same rise and drop. • Are There Any Made in the U.S.A. Heavy Duty Ball Mounts for 2" Receivers Available?
No. While Curt is an American company and manufactures a great deal of their products in the U.S.A., the Heavy Duty Forged Ball Mounts like the # C45340 is not one of those products. If you're looking for a ball mount that is made in the U.S.A., the B&W Heavy-Duty Ball Mount # BWBMHD30010 has a 16,000-lbs capacity and the same 1" rise/2" drop as the Curt model you were looking at.

  • 50 mm Hitch Ball Recommendation for a 2 inch Trailer Hitch
The only 50 mm hitch ball we offer is the part # 63912 with a 3/4 inch diameter shank that would only fit 1-1/4 inch ball mounts, but a 2 inch hitch ball translates to 50.8 mm. Which is very close. Since you have a 2 inch hitch your best option would be a 2 inch hitch ball like the part # A-90 and a ball mount like the # BWBMHD30010 for if you need a 1 inch rise or 2 inch drop.
