Trailer Hitch and Wiring for a 1970 Ford F-100 Styleside with Standard Bumper
Question:
Can you provide some additional info on receiver hitch options that allow the retention of the factory spare tire location under the bed? I have the long styleside bed with standard step bumper.

Modification and/or relocation of the spare tire mounting bracket is going to be a possibility for any of the trailer hitches for your 1970 Ford F-100 styleside with standard bumper. The spare would have to be positioned further forward on the vehicle if it has to be moved at all. The only way to know for sure is to begin the installation process. There are no specific instructions if the spare does have to move.
The most popular hitch option for your truck is # BWHDRH25122. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you.
If you plan on doing some towing the recommended ball mount is # BWBMHD30010. If the ball mount kit does not have the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, use the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.
And to add a 4-Way trailer connector you can use # 18252.
