I don’t normally take the time to write a review, but since Ian, in the service department, went “the extra mile”, I was motivated. I ordered a spare tire and mount, but the mount did not fit my trailer. Ian emailed me a return shipping label, researched alternatives, and kept me “up to date” on the status of the re-order thru email. The replacement mount was backordered, so I expected to receive it in a few weeks. To my surprise, it arrived in a few days. Great job etrailer !
Worked like a champ, although I had to add a spacer in order for the tire to clear the winch assembly but other than that it works great, the tire even acts as a convenient step for climbing into the front of the boat during launching into the water.
Offset spare tire carrier looks to be a good quality piece that will replace my old tired factory trailer spare tire carrier. I have yet to install it but It's manufactured in the USA. Support America by buying products like these
Excellent tire carrier, very sturdy and great looking. It appears to be able to carry elephant, not just a spare tire but it is rated only for a 14” tire. This is the only caveat.
Pretty easy took about 20 minutes. Thought I might not have enough clearance to mount it on the side, but I did. Just want to thank William for his expertise. Sorry it took so long it’s been raining a lot lately. Good day.
I bought 2 wheels and 3 tires to replace some old tires on my double PWC trailer. Put both new wheels on yesterday and mounted the extra on an old wheel for a spare. Mounted this to the trailer using spare tire carrier and everything worked out great. The tires and wheels look great and the spare mounted without any problems to the trailer.
Well constructed...would have liked the frame attachment bolt pattern match DL's swing jack. Wheel mount bolts come with regular hex head nuts and not standard wheel lug nuts - need to carry the right wrench/socket with the tow vehicle!
I bought this tire mount along with a tire for my tandem boat trailer. The quality of the finish and hardware will allow this to last for a long time. The product description and shipping have sold me on etrailer.com.

Excellent product. All hardware was included and install was easy. Product is robust in build and of a good quality build with a good- weather resistant finish. This product is a fine addition to my trailer project.

This is a quality tire. Bought as a spare for my boat trailer.
Seems solid and well built. Easy installation. I had to mount it to the side of the rear bumper next to the bracket so there was less wobble. That was due to the bumper on my camper, not the bracket. We'll find out more as I get more miles on it.

Tire carrier is sturdy easy to install. Saved me room inside my camper. Highly recommend!
Great product, does what I need, it arrived on time and price was fair.
I finally got it mounted on my trailer. It fit well once the rough spots on the bolts were dealt with but this is common on bolts with coatings on them. It is going to be nice to finally have the spare out of my pickup bed and on the trailer where it belongs.

Fit my boat mate branded trailer perfectly. I couldn’t believe that a tandem axle boat trailer would not come with a spare tire, but this solved the problem!
Very impressed with how easy it was to find what I needed. I purchased this product to use on my galvanized boat trailer to hold my spare tire. This seems to be a very sturdy corrosion resistant mount and locks on to the trailer frame very easily....total install time was less than 10 minutes. The only issue I have with this mount is that the bolts that hold the tire on are not the same size as the lugs on the trailer tire. However, I would definitely recommend this product as a quality spare tire carrier.
Great fit on the trailer, great price and simple installation. I do have a complaint in regards to fit fitment though. Due to width of my 205/65-10 tires, I had to fab a small spacer to keep from contacting the bracket. I also had to bore out the center security hole to use a standard wire cable lock as it was only originally big enough for a very small wire lock. Despite the modifications I had to make, I'm still satisfied with the purchase!
Please be aware that modifying products can affect warranties and may create safety issues. I am a professional, please consult a professional before making modifications.
