Mount a spare tire on your trailer with this U-bolt-style carrier. Installs on your trailer's frame, tongue, or rails. Holds most 8" to 15" wheels with 4- or 5-lug rims. Use the included padlock to secure the brackets and deter theft.

Works nicely on my trailer. Can use it to mount the tire on sideways or on top of the frame. The best feature is it can be locked and no tools are required if you need to remove it to replace a flat tire.

You will want to have the brackets screw down all the way to the hub or you won't hold the tire tight. I recommend using the lug nuts # CE11050 and then the brackets and lock. This keeps the tire tight to the frame, the wheel tight and yet centered and unscratched, and then the brackets and lock close to those lug nuts.
