The sturdy steel ratchets on these tie-downs have built-in clamps that hold excess webbing neatly in place. Wire keepers help keep the vinyl-coated S-hooks safely secured to anchor points. Ideal for motorcycles, ATVs, and PWCs. 2,000 lbs Max load.

Features:

  • Tie-down straps let you secure cargo in your truck bed or trailer
    • Ideal for securing motorcycles, ATVs, and personal watercraft (PWCs)
  • Spring-loaded Web Clamps hold excess webbing tightly in place on top of ratchets
    • Helps prevent unused strap from flapping around while you drive
  • Zinc-plated steel ratchets help you achieve and maintain maximum tension on the straps
    • Plastic-covered handles provide comfort grip
    • Release buttons disengage the ratchets when you're ready to unload
  • Wire keeper on each S-hook helps keep hooks from accidentally disconnecting
  • Vinyl-coated steel S-hooks won't scratch your cargo
  • Durable polyester webbing
  • Meets WSTDA recommendations

Specs:

  • Strap dimensions: 1-1/4" wide x 12' long
  • Safe working load limit (WLL): 667 lbs
  • Maximum load (break strength): 2,000 lbs
  • Quantity: 2 ratchet straps
  • 90-Day limited warranty

Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

These Erickson ratchet straps simplify the process of securing your motorcycle, ATV, boat, or other cargo on your trailer. To tie down your cargo, first secure one of the vinyl-coated steel S-hooks to an anchor point. Next, push down the orange button on the ratchet, pull out the strap, and secure the other S-hook to your cargo. Then ratchet the strap until it's tight. Lastly, fold up any leftover webbing, lift the spring-loaded clamp on the ratchet, place the webbing under the clamp, and release. It's just that simple to tie down your cargo and keep your straps from flapping around in the wind.

I ordered a few items from etrailer.com. They shipped immediately. When I received the box of goods, I was astounded by the quality of the cardboard shipping box (very heavy duty) and how well everything was packed. Bravo to the packing guy. His/her use of extra pieces of cardboard and that staple gun is excellent.
You have an excellent site. Great products and I love the reviews. You provide all the information so I can decide what works for me.

Thanks,
Kelly

We have made a few 600-800 mile road trips with our 6 person family in our Tesla Model X and we love the aluminum rack, waterproof bag, super cool tie down straps and especially the hitch lock. Onlookers have come up to me on our trips and asked about my setup and I tell them how flexible it is in handling varying load sizes and when I am not using it, the compact storage. You should list my setup as a package recommendation on your website.

by:

I use these to tie down my motorcycle trike. After the first few hours they stopped stretching and held fast. I would recommend due to the fact they have saftey clips on hooks so you don't have to worry about them coming off. This should be standard on any tie down strap, but they are not.

by:

I will be using these tie downs to secure motorcycles in my trailer. I ordered them because they have the hooks with the safety catch. I have used similar products in the past. They provide peace of mind in that I know the hooks can't be released from the anchors due to travel over rough highways. The only negative is that I thought the straps would be a bit thicker. I know from past experience these will do fine and I have used straps this thin before with no problem.

by:

The product has been good, not great. I have had the ends of the straps start to show more wear than I believe they should.

As usual, etrailer was great in getting the product out and done accurately.

by:

The straps were what I have been looking for. A ratchet strap less than 2" with keeper hooks on both ends. The clamp for holding the excess strap is a huge improvement. I use it for securing my ATV on the trailer so I only need about 3 feet. I make a loop of the rest of the strap by wrapping it around my hand and then securing the loop with the clamp.

by:

The wire keeper on the S hooks is what makes these tie down straps great.

by:

Love these! The retaining wire and webbing clamp are great. I have 6 and they’re so much easier to use than others I’ve had. No chasing loose hooks and having to maintain tension when binding down.

by:

Great product. Used it to secure heavy Vespa ET4 for trip to service. Straps worked easily and provided great stability during travel.

  • Scooter Carrier Option for 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
As long as the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the outer edge of the spare tire on your 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler Unlimited is less than 15-1/2" then the Ultra-Fab Carrier part # UF48-979033 will work well for you as a way to carry your scooter. If you do not have any ratcheting tie-downs to use with this carrier then I recommend the Erickson Ratchet Tie-Down Straps part # EM31353.

  • What is the Weight of the MaxxHaul Motorcycle Carrier for 2-inch Hitches?
The MaxxTow MaxxHaul Aluminum Motorcycle Carrier for 2" Hitches will weigh just under 50 pounds. I did some research on your Long Stride and found a few different models. As long the length of the bike is less than 79 inches, you are good to go. If you need fastening straps to secure your ElliptiGO onto the MaxxHaul carrier, I recommend the Erickson Ratchet Tie-Down Straps w/ Web Clamps and S-Hooks # EM31353. The Erickson straps are effective because they are made with zinc-plated steel...

  • Recommended Carrier for a 110 lb Stealth Bomber B2 Electric Bike
Since your electric bike weighs in at 110 lbs you are actually going to need to use a motorcycle carrier for it as the most a standard bike rack can handle is 80 lbs per bike. For your application I recommend the etrailer Motorcycle Carrier # e98873 because it only weighs about 58 lbs and it comes with a stored ramp to help you easily load your bike. You will need to use tie-downs like the Erickson # EM31353 to secure the bike to the carrier. I also recommend using a locking hitch pin...

For your application I recommend the etrailer Motorcycle Carrier for 2" Hitches # e98873 because it is rated for up to 500 lbs which should be more than enough for your 2006 Vespa LX150 and because it comes with and anti-rattle bracket that helps to reduce movement and noise while you are traveling. Be sure you have some ratcheting tie-downs like the Erickson # EM31353 to help secure your scooter to the carrier. If you'd' like to add a lock for both the carrier and scooter then I recommend...

We had a customer who used the etrailer motorcycle carrier part # e98873 that you referenced to carry a TW200 and they used ratchet straps form a bracket on the fork tubes to the anchor points. I really like the idea of the tire-pad-strap you sent a picture of but we don't carry anything like that. If it were me though I'd go with the tried and true method of attaching tie downs to the handlebars of the bike like with the # EM31353. I grew up with motorcycles and we always used this method...

  • Is the Ramp of the Ultra-Fab Dirt Bike Carrier Too Steep for My 50 cc Scooter?
I have a solution for you. The incline of the ramp on hitch-mounted cargo carriers differ for each vehicle. This is because the ground clearance for each vehicle has a different height from the bottom of the carrier to the ground. With that being said, the pictures of the include of the ramp of the Ultra-Fab Dirt Bike Carrier for 2" Hitches - With Ramp - 77" Long - 500 lbs # UF48-979033 is misleading because you may have a different ground clearance height than the vehicle in the photo....

If you are looking for a way to transport your 88-pound Ariel Rider Grizzly, we do not have a standard bike rack that can accommodate that weight. However, the best and easiest route is to use a dirt bike/moped carrier like the Ultra-Fab Dirt Bike Carrier for 2" Hitches - With Ramp # UF48-979033.
