Superior Corrosion Resistance for Marine Use

This trailer hub assembly is constructed of corrosion-resistant, rustproof stainless steel. It's superior construction makes it the best choice for use on your boat or snowmobile trailer. Stainless steel is durable enough to last in freshwater environments, but it can withstand saltwater applications as well. Even after extended use in saltwater, it shows little to no rust or corrosion.

Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

  • Will Kodiak XL ProLube Kit Fit Kodiak Trailer Hub KH42655S
Yes, the Kodiak XL ProLube Kit # XLPROLUBE2440KIT will fit Kodiak Trailer Hub # KH42655S. I have linked videos of both products for you. The XL ProLube kit is more than just seals. It is meant to convert the hub to and oil-bath style so you would not grease the bearings. Also you would not use a dust cap with this set up. The proper caps have to be see-through with a plug in them to check/add oil. They are also included with the ProLube kit.

  • Timbren Axleless Kit for Off-Road Trailer with 15 inch Wheels
For an off-road trailer with 15 inch wheels you'd want to go with the Timbren Axle Less kit part # ASR35HDS02 which was designed for wider tires like you have, has a 4 inch lift, and has hubs available for it that can fit 15 inch diameter wheels. The hubs that fit the spindle of this have a 6 on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern like the Kodiak part # KH42655S.

  • What Wheel Studs Do I Need for Disc Brakes on Trailer with 225/75-15 Size Tires
According to the information I could find, your 2012 Heartland North Trail 26RLSS uses 225/75-15 size tires which means they should fit a 1/2"-20 stud like what we see with the tire/wheel combo # AM32669. If you're using a disc brake kit like the Kodiak Kit # K2R526D which mounts to a pre-existing idler hub then you'll want to make sure it uses the 1/2" studs, like what we find with part # KH42655S. If you can give me some more details about what size studs your aluminum wheels should...

  • Replacement Idler Trailer Hub Assembly For 2002 Load Rite 6 Lug Tandem Axle Boat Trailer
You are needing either the Galvanized Dexter Trailer Idler Hub # 8-213-51 or Stainless Steel Kodiak Trailer Hub # KH42655S. Of these I recommend the stainless steel for superior corrosion resistance. You will need a Inner Bearing # 25580, Outer Bearing # 15123 and Grease Seal # GS-2125DL for each hub.

  • Which 6 Lug Trailer Hub Does Best in Saltwater Application
Since the # AKIHUB-655-6-K is just painted steel it would not be my first choice for a saltwater application as it would pretty quickly start to corrode. The absolute best option would stainless steel like the Kodiak part # KH42655S as stainless steel won't corrode. Next best option would be the galvanized part # 8-213-51UC1 which won't be as resistant to corrosion as stainless but would do a much better job than just paint as it's a zinc coated steel which does a pretty decent job with...

  • Replacement Hubs For A 2020 Coachmen Catalina 323BHDSCK
I can certainly point you in the right direction. Hub/drum assemblies are not listed in our fit guide as they are not a custom fit item. Unfortunately we do not have literature that will tell us hub specs based on a year make and model of trailer. If only it were so easy. The best way to find the correct hub is for your to remove one of the current hubs and confirm some specs. Specifically we would need to know the inner and outer bearing sizes/numbers, and the bolt pattern. We would also...

  • Converting Boat Trailer With 6k Axles From Drum to Disc Brakes Hydraulic Brakes & Titan 7500 Actuato
We can get you set up to go from drum to disc brakes, and going with stainless steel brakes is a really smart idea, particularly in salt water. As for the master cylinder, though you just changed it, since you are going to disc brakes you're actually going to have to change it again to the disc brake application in order to get the higher psi needed (which I fully realize is less than ideal since you just changed it, but is necessary). So what you'll need for your Aero 7500 is the following: -...

  • Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System For Off Road Trailer With 5 on 5 Inch Bolt Pattern
To use the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension # ASR5200S04 you found you will have to use either an Idler Hub # KH42655S or Hub/Drum # AKHD-655-6-EZ-K with the smallest bolt pattern being a 6 on 5-1/2". This is due to having the 5,200lb capacity and the larger #42 spindle. We do have the lighter Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension # ASR3500S04 rated for a 3,500lb capacity which will allow you to have the 5 on 5" Idler Hub # AKIHUB-550-35-EZ-K to get the bolt pattern you are wanting....

I did a little research and found that your 2003 Venture Boat trailer model 2250 has a capacity of 2,250 pounds but the 6-lug hubs and bearing information I found indicate that it uses hubs normally seen on 5,200 pound axles. Since you have a boat trailer you might be interested in Kodiak hub # KH42655S which is stainless steel so it won't corrode. It uses inner bearing 25580 and outer bearing 15123.
