Colin: Hey guys this is Colin here at etrailer. Today we're going to take a quick look at the children's bike adapter for the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 and the NV 2.0 bike racks. With my children's bike currently loaded on my NV 2.0, I can't get the wheel secure, which means I can't take my kids bike with me if I want to take him out for a ride. You could bring it back out here and then secure it that way, but that leaves more room for the bike to come straight out of the cradle. With the children's bike adapter on the bottom of our hook, we're going to be able to bring our hook all the way up and then secure it at the top of the tire in the proper space. If you have multiple children's bikes that you need to carry, just purchase as many of these as you need.The adapter is easily removable for if you don't need to take a kid's bike out that day.
All you need to do is just remove the hook and loop straps and take them out of their loops. The strap's just securing it to the bottom side of our wheel hook and we just pull it down and out. You can see that curvature on the inside matches the contour of our wheel hook perfectly. When installing it, we'll just bring it up and through and reversing it so you can see the loops on this side. Push it all the way up.
You're just going to bring the hook and loop fasteners around. Go through the loop and tighten it up and secure it.The adapter is going to be made out of the same material that you wheel hook is so it's going to be very durable and it's not going to stick out too much from your bike rack, not going to be too noticeable.Thank you all for watching. This product is great! I could not find the Kuat 20-24” tire adapter in any store (online or brick and mortar) that sales Kuat bike racks. From now on, I’m going to go straight to etrailer to find sports rack equipment!

I have been in search of a really good hitch mounted bike rack for some time. I did a lot of research and settled on the Kuat Sherpa 2.0. But before I ordered it, I called etrailer.com. I spoke with Lori B. who answered all my questions about this rack and made my shopping experience quick and informative. This rack is so well constructed and beautifully finished, rugged and very easy to use. On our first trip out, my 12 year old son was able to quickly and easily remove his bike with no help. The rack tilts down with little effort making access to the back of our station wagon a breeze. I would recommend this rack to anyone looking for a well built easy to use 2 bike rack.
My neighbor told me about etrailer.com and it was great advice. I will be ordering from etrailer.com again. Their service and selection are amazing and they actually have people answering the phone who know their products.

The part fit perfectly & the order was filled promptly. My only disappointment is that the Kuat bike rack was so expensive, and this adapter should have been included in the original purchase. Seems inappropriate for such an expensive bike rack not to come with all the adaptation required for the many bike styles readily used out there. That however is not your fault whatsoever.

I use these for our bmx freestyle and race bikes with 16-22" wheels. This product is perfect. Sturdy, fast to install (and un-install if you wish), and stays put. I leave these on my rack full-time, without ever taking off... thru car washes, etc., and they have never loosened. The only thing that hasn't bothered me, but has bothered my friend, is that it CAN scratch the bike's paint because of the hard plastic material. But I have yet to experience this.
