Straps to Use with etrailer Carrier # e98873 to Transport Yamaha TW200
Question:
I was wondering if you could say what tie downs price not being an issue would be best for carrying a Yamaha TW200 on this carrier. I was looking at the ones with shocks on your website and also another website in which the tie downs were covers over the tires which didn't affect the suspension of the bike when tied down. Thank you.

We had a customer who used the etrailer motorcycle carrier part # e98873 that you referenced to carry a TW200 and they used ratchet straps form a bracket on the fork tubes to the anchor points. I really like the idea of the tire-pad-strap you sent a picture of but we don't carry anything like that.
If it were me though I'd go with the tried and true method of attaching tie downs to the handlebars of the bike like with the # EM31353. I grew up with motorcycles and we always used this method and never had any issues. Just don't go crazy torquing down the handlebars/forks and you won't have any issues with fork seals.
