Replacing Both 3” RV Black Water and Gray Water Valves Each With 72” Cables

Question:

Hello, I have a 2014 Model 295RKD Montana Mountaineer, Vin #: 4YDF29527E47***** 5th wheel. I already removed the valves and cables and looking to purchase both replacement valve units. ETrailer has valves Lasalle Bristol waste water dump valves that look similar to the ones I removed. The valve and cable item #: 34466N4BB72GM looks like it should be the replacement 3” valve and 72” cable should be the replacement. I am looking to install the new valves between the existing flanges with the seals and not need to use solvent or glue as stated on your video. Although my valves say Plymouth and made in the USA, there are no numbers on the valve except a pattern number. They look like Lasalle Bristol valves. Is this item number a replacement or can you recommend the correct valve and cable replacement. Thanks in advance,

The valves you are seeking to replace are made by many different manufacturers and are a standard size. The function of the valve is what you want to pay attention to as there are T-handle and cable options and then of course black water versus gray water as well as different diameters for those gray water applications.

For your 3 inch valve, the LaSalle Bristol Cable-Actuated RV Waste Valve - Black Water Tank - Spigot to Spigot - 72" Cable # 34466N4BB72GM will work well for you and you'll just remove the adapters and slide the valve between the existing flanges. Then for the gray water you will use the LaSalle Bristol Cable-Actuated RV Waste Valve for Gray Water Tank - Spigot to Hub - 72" Cable # 34466N11AB72GMA.

Since you are looking for both gray and black you may instead want the Valterra Waste Valve Bodies w/ Flexible Cables for RV Black Water and Gray Water Tanks - 72" # TC1372 which won't require removing any hubs. It does come with all the hardware needed.
