Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com.Today we're taking a look at the JR Products propane hose. Like most propane hoses, this is going to connect between your propane tank and your RV's regulator. When looking for a propane hose, the most important things to keep in mind are one, the length. So you obviously want to make sure that it is going to be able to reach between your propane tank and your regulator on your RV, or travel trailer. This hose is 20 inches long. Actual measurement is about 20 and a quarter of an inch long.
So it should give you plenty of length, depending on how much you need. This is a rubber tube, rubber hose that's going to have an inner diameter of a quarter of an inch and that's pretty standard for most of these. That's going to be plenty to get your propane through to your RVs appliances that run on propane. It is going to have a high flow rate so that you can use several different propane powered appliances at the same time. The next thing you're going to want to focus in on are the connections, your hose fittings. So here we have a POL connection.
This is pretty standard. Most of your LP gas cylinders are going to be compatible with this. This is going to plug in, or connect thread into your propane tank nozzle on the inside. Other fittings, some of them mount onto the outside. With this being an inner connection, it is going to thread on counter-clockwise.
So it's going to be a little bit counterintuitive to those of us who are used to 'righty tighty' and 'lefty loosey'. Once you have it on, you can see it's got that O-ring that's going to ensure a nice tight seal, so we're not going to have to worry about gas leaks. Then the other side, this is going to be more of a deal breaker for you. This is a quarter inch male inverted flare. Not all of your regulators are going to use this. A good rule of thumb, go out and look at your regulator, if it has a gold adapter fitting, it is most likely going to use the male inverted flare. So this is designed for LP gas only.
Obviously, LP stands for Liquid Propane, so don't use it for any other purpose. It is UL and CSA approved, so it's going to meet those quality standards. It's going to hold up well for you and do a good job to make sure that you get all your RV appliances up and working. That's going to complete our look at the JR Products propane hose..

Hose connects your auxiliary POL cylinder to the T-fitting in your propane system. Allows a high flow rate to move unrestricted so that you can maximize your propane usage.FANTASTIC Replacement of the Stock Hose connection which was leaking, the length is about 10 inches longer BUT made it way easier to install. It was excellent to find it online, great price, and seems to be better quality than the stock one because the extra length allows a more gentle bending.
This propane hose is being used on a boat. I tried to find a replacement at local hardware stores and propane/ welding places- no help. etrailer had an outstanding collection of exactly what I needed in a variety of lengths. Pictures in the ads showed exactly what I needed (male inverted flare). The rubber hose is nice and flexible- the metal crimps look nice and clean. Very happy with the purchase. d
Perfect. Exactly what I needed.
Good quality at a fair price
