MB Sturgis Propane Fittings - 100019-24

  • Pigtail Hoses
  • 2 Feet Long
  • 1/4 Inch - MIF
  • POL - Male
  • MB Sturgis

Pigtail hose connects your RV's propane tank to a 2-stage regulator. Can also be used to hookup an auxiliary tank to a T-fitting inlet such as the Sturgi-Stay so you don't need to break camp to resupply.

Features:

  • Pigtail hose lets you connect a propane tank to your RV's 2-stage regulator
    • Replaces a worn out or damaged supply hose
    • Usable as a fill hose to connect to a T-fitting to a backup tank
    • Pairs well with a Sturgi-Stay (103602-MBS - sold separately)
  • Male POL fitting connects to your ASME tank or propane cylinder
  • Male inverted flare hooks into 2-stage regulator or adapter
  • Durable thermoplastic hose and brass fittings approved for LP gas only
    • Rated for high pressure and high flow rate to handle unregulated propane
    • UL569 and ANSI Z21-81 certified
  • Made in the USA

Specs:

  • Temperature range: -40 F to 140 F
  • Hose dimensions: 24" long x 1/4" inner diameter
  • Hose fittings:
    • POL tank connection
    • 1/4" Male inverted flare
  • Maximum pressure rating: 350 psi
  • Maximum flow capacity: 500,000 Btu per hour
  • 1-Year limited warranty

While this fill hose is typically used in conjunction with a Sturgi-Stay T-fitting (sold separately), it can also be used to connect your dual-cylinder propane setup to the regulator on your RV. It is important to note that this hose does not have a back-check to contain a gas leak. Therefore, when used as part of a dual-cylinder setup, it is not RVIA compliant. A backflow check valve is needed to prevent a major gas leak if one inlet is not connected or has a faulty connection. Both tanks in a dual tank system require check valves. An adapter fitting that includes a back-check (204120-MBS - sold separately) can be used to make your changeover regulator RVIA compliant.

I thought this product would be the solution to making a propane connection. The parts on the old food truck are non standard. I was unfamiliar with the inverted flare which turned out to be the wrong fitting. I have since found an adapter so that I can use these connectors and not have to return them. etrailer was not at fault and the service was fast and reasonably priced..

by:

The propane lines for my Lance Camper fit perfectly, but it was the actions by William at etrailer that got the job completed. The parts were unavailable around town. etrailer followed up on the parts until the manufacturer produced the parts needed. Thank you.

by:

Kimberly O really went above and beyond on helping return one item, snd over nite the corrected item . Very helpful, friendly, and professional. Thanks a bunch …

by:

These 24" pigtails fit my twin 30lb. horizontal Manchester propane tanks and automatic transfer valve like the original pigtails in my 1997 Lance truck camper. No more propane leaks! Easy to install.

by:

Nice website, clear description of item, prompt delivery and good price. Can't do any better than that. Shure to recommend this seller for trailer parts and supplies. Replaced leaky pigtails on our trailer propane tanks. Recommend using silicon lubricant on the O-rings to prevent damage to them.

by:

I had hard lines connecting my 100 lb. propane tanks to my changeover valve before I switched to the flexible rubber version. It seems to be so much easier to change tanks at my cottage now! Great Product!
Thank You

It was the wrong hose. Not cost efficient to return. Mine required a 3/8" NPT, not 1/4" male inverted flare. Had to go to a propane company to have one manufactured.

  • Propane Supply to 1/4 Inch Inverted Male Pigtail Hose
I have exactly what you are looking for! We have the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay Propane Fill Hose - POL Pigtail x 1/4" Male Inverted Flare - 3' # 100019-36. If you want an even shorter length, we also have the 24 inch # 100019-24.

  • Compatibility of MB Sturgis # 100019-24 Hose on a Dual LP Tank Set Up
If you are connecting the 1/4 of an inch male inverted flare of the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay Propane Fill Hose, # 100019-24, to a regulator, then this hose will work for your application. The POL connection will fit your tanks if they have a POL connection. Most LP tanks at 100 lbs use the POL connector over the ACME Type 1 connector you see connected to the smaller LP tanks.

  • Parts Needed To Convert From 30lb Propane Tanks To 100lb Tanks
100lb propane tanks typically have a female POL fitting so you'll just need to swap over the hoses to ones that have a male POL fitting and can still connect to your regulator/piping the same way the current hoses do. Most regulators have a 1/4 Female Inverted Flare fitting so you'll likely need a hose like the MB Sturgis # 100019-24. To be sure you'll just need check the fitting types on both the tank and the regulator/wherever it ties into the system. If you aren't having issues with...

I do have an option for you but the only hose we offer with these fittings (POL x 1/4" Male NPT) is the MB Sturgis Propane Supply Hose part # 100202 which is 10'. That said, if this is going from the tank to the regulator then you should be able to use the MB Sturgis Propane PigtailHose part # 100019-24 with the Propane Adapter Fitting part # 37207-30035 which is 2'.

  • Replacement Leader Hose for 100 Lb Propane Tank
Yes, we have the correct replacement leader hose that attaches your tank to the regulator. For this you are going to want to use the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay Propane Fill Hose part # 100019-24 for 2' long, part # 100019-36 for 3' long, part # 100019-48 for 4' long, or part # 100019-60 for 5' long. There should already be a brass adapter on both inlets of your regautor but if not you will also need one of the MB Sturgis Propane Adapter Fitting part # 402258-MBS.

  • Availability of Pigtail Hose Without Back-Check
We do have the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay Propane Fill Hose # 100019-24 which doesn't have a back-check. This pigtail has a POL fitting on one end and then a 1/4" male inverted flare on the end that connects to your regulator so if you already have an adapter in the regulator you'll need to remove it to use this pigtail. Please note that when used as part of a dual-cylinder setup, this will not be RVIA compliant. The adapter fitting # 204120-MBS would need to be purchased (which has the back-check)...

  • Dual Propane LP Tank Setup 100 Lb for RV or Travel Trailer
Yes, the # 100019-24 pigtail can be used to connect your dual-cylinder 100 lb propane setup to the regulator on your RV. Since this hose does not have a back-check to contain a gas leak, you will need the # 204120-MBS fitting that includes a back-check. Without the back-check, your setup would not be RVIA (Recreation Vehicle Industry Association) compliant. You mentioned that you'd like to connect to a T first, before connecting to the regulator. • I Need Propane Tank to Regulator Pigtail with 3/16 ID with Inverted Flare 2 Feet Long
I believe what you're looking for is the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay Propane Fill Hose part # 100019-24 this has the POL end for the tank side that will thread into the internal threads of the tank. Most of the regulators have the 1/4" inverted flare which this one also has. It is 2' overall in length as well which matches what you're looking for. Check out the attached video to see it. • Parts Needed For Connecting Two 100LB Propane Tanks To a Furnace
You will most likely need the MB Sturgis High Capacity Two-Stage Auto Changeover Regulator # 888001-MBS for going to your furnace. Be sure to verify with the furnace manufacturer that a 11" WC regulator that delivers 450,000 Btu P/HR is compatible with that furnace. With this auto changeover regulator it will draw propane from one tank until empty and then switch over to the 2nd tank automatically so you won't have to change anything to the 2nd tank. • Parts Needed to Convert RV to Dual Tank Regulator with Automatic Changeover
You'll want a automatic changeover dual tank regulator like the part # CAM59005 for your two tanks to feed into. This gives you the fuel of basically both tanks without any interuption switching between them. From your tanks to the regulator you'd want pig tails like the part # 10019-24 and then your main feed line would attach to the regulator and you'd be set.

  • Replacement Propane Hose From POL to Regulator Thats 28 Inches Long
The overall length of the MB Sturgis hose you asked about is 24-7/8 inches so it's too short for you. Instead I recommend using part # 37207-30645 which is 30 inches. It's a little longer than what you need but it has the same fittings.

To confirm that you will be able to use the Camco Automatic Changeover 2-Stage Propane Regulator # CAM59005 you will need to ensure that the 11" nominal outlet pressure is enough to power your generator.
