Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a quick look at the JR Products propane hose. This hose is designed to run between your LP gas cylinder and your regulator on your RV or travel trailer. It's going to let that propane gas flow through so you can power up your propane powered appliances. There are a few things that you want to keep in mind, look for when you are shopping for a propane hose.

The first thing is going to be the length. Obviously you want to make sure that it's going to be able to reach between your tank and your regulator on your RV.This hose is 12 feet long so it should be more than enough for almost any situation. If your gas tank is 12 feet away from your regulator or less, this should do the trick. This is a rubber hose, so that's going to help resist any kinks or cracking. It's got an internal diameter of a quarter of an inch, which is going to be plenty of room for that propane gas to flow through to power up those appliances.

Not quarter inch diameter, inner diameter is pretty standard for most of these hoses. The next thing that you're going to want to look for is your hose fittings, so we've got two different fittings here. This one is our POL connection.This is going to mount onto our LP gas cylinder, the propane tank valves, so it's going to have some threads on the inside of your valves that this will thread into. Keep in mind that because it is threading on the inside, it is going to thread in counter-clockwise, which might be a little bit counterintuitive to those of us who learned the righty tighty, lefty loosy method, but it shouldn't be too hard to get mounted up. You can see it's got an O ring on it that's going to help ensure a tight seal on the cylinder and this is going to be pretty standard.

Almost all of your LP gas cylinders are going to be compatible with this kind of POL connection.On the other side, we're going to have a quarter inch male inverted flare and now this isn't as standard as our POL connection. Some of our regulators will use this, some of them won't. So this is going to be an important component to pay attention to. If you don't know is your regulator needs the quarter inch male inverted flare or not, go out, take a look at your regulator. If it's got a gold adapter fitting, it is almost certainly going to need the quarter inch male inverted flare.

Another use for this other than going directly into your regulator.If you want to use a dual cylinder set up so that you have two propane tanks going into your system, you could also use this with a T. You would mount the T onto your regulator and then mount this hose onto one side of the T. Obviously you would still need another hose to get it hooked up to your second gas cylinder. This hose is UL and CSA approved, so it's going to meet those high quality standards.Can trust that it's going to hold up well for you and do the job that it's designed to do.
