Drop-In Mount Design

This sink has a top-mounted, drop-in design. Drop-in (or self-rimming) sinks are generally quicker and easier to install than undermount sinks, and they can be installed into any countertop material. They also have a lip on the perimeter, so that once the sink is installed, the weight of the sink and its contents are transferred over to the surrounding countertop. This better supports and secures the sink, whereas undermount sinks might fall if not installed properly. In addition, because all parts of drop-in sinks are visible, they are incredibly easy to clean.

If you're replacing your sink, you'll simply use the existing cut-out hole in your countertop. If you're upgrading your indoor or outdoor sink setup, you may need to enlarge the hole. It should be 1/2" to 5/8" smaller than the overall length and width of the sink. Either way, once you have a proper size hole, you can just drop the sink in and secure it to the counter using the included brackets and pre-installed mounting studs. Mounting hardware is not included. Once the sink has been installed, it is compatible with any faucet setup and standard 3-1/2" garbage disposals and drain baskets.

Video Transcript for Review of Lippert RV Sinks - White ABS Double Bowl Kitchen Sink - LC29FR

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this double bowl kitchen sink. This is a durable ABS plastic double bowl sink that will replace or upgrade your existing sink in your RV, camper or boat kitchen. This can also work to upgrade an outdoor sink if you're looking to replace that and this sink will do a good job for you. This is going to be compatible with all faucet setups. As you can see, there are no cutouts that we're gonna have to fit our faucets into.

So it'll sit right in front of those faucets. So it's gonna be a great option for you there. Our drain holes are right at 3-1/2 inches in diameter, so it should work for most of your current setups. Be very easy to switch this out for your original, in place of your original. As you can see, this does have a nice wide rectangular shape.

So it is gonna provide more room for you to wash your dirty dishes. The overall dimensions here are about 25 inches wide, 17 inches deep, and about 6-7/8 inch from the bottom of that drain ring there to the top here. Right at 6-7/8, so just shy of seven inches deep. And you can see, we do have a larger bowl and a smaller bowl. For our larger bowl, our dimensions are about 12 inches long up here at the top and 14 inches, sorry, 12 inches wide, 14 inches deep.

Now it does kinda taper down about an inch. So down at the bottom, it's gonna be about 11 inches wide by 13 inches deep. With our smaller bowl, we're looking at about 8-1/2 inches wide at the top, 7-1/2 down at the bottom and then about 14-1/8, just a little over 14 inches at the top, about 13 inches down at the bottom. So plenty of room to work with. This is a drop-in and out or sometimes it's called the self rimming design.

So it is gonna be very easy to get installed. And it's gonna be easier to clean than your undermount sinks. So lots of advantages there. If you're not replacing an existing sink, you are gonna need to cut a hole that's about 1/2 inch to 5/8 inch. Smaller than the overall length and width of this sink so that it can drop in place and this lip is gonna hold it in place. So you can see there, it's does have that lip going all the way around. You will need some silicone sealant. It is recommended so that you can make sure to seal up everything and water's not gonna get down behind there, potentially cause problems, but much, much easier to drop in place than the other undermount sinks that other options for you. So this is a ABS thermoplastic polymer construction. Now, when you hear plastic, you probably think it's gonna be flimsy, cheap, but this is a very durable scratch resistant material. ABS is gonna hold up really well for you. It is gonna be lighter and more environmentally friendly than fiberglass. Plus you're not gonna have to worry about splinters peeling off and that sort of thing. So it will hold up well, do a good job for you for a long time to come. The sink does meet the IAPMO certified standards. The CSA and ASME standards as well. So you can trust it is gonna be a good quality. It's gonna hold up well, do a good job for you for a long time to come. And it is made in the USA, so you can trust. It's made to the high quality standards that we've come to know and trust for products that are made here in the US. So if you're looking to replace your sink, this is gonna be a really great option for you. This is the white color. We do also have a parchment color. That's a little bit more of a tan or manila kind of color and we also have a gray. All three are the exact same dimensions, same material. It's just different colors. So make sure you're getting the right one for your color scheme in your RV's kitchen. But all three are gonna be really great option for you to replace your current sink. That's going to complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..

It is nice looking. It fit my cabinet which is. A house bathroom cabinet. I think stainless steel sink would be better. I couldn't find one small enough to fit the cabinet. It cost too much but at times things are like that. With the screw American plan. I haven't went camping this year. So haven't used it much in a year.

We have a few stainless steel options that are a little bigger than this, but are still quite small if you would like to upgrade in the future:

I like everything about this sink, but I just installed it in my 2003 lazy daze motor home. First, I added pex 1/2x3/8” shut off valves to isolate the kitchen. Then trimmed the sink opening to 15”x23”for a snug fit to drill six 3/8” holes for the built in tie down studs in the sink rim. I installed the faucet first thru the sink opening( eBay $45, works well), then dropped the sink in and attached the anchors with #3 screws. The sink is very light and sturdy which is great in an rv, and the shipping was very fast. Hope the pics help.

Really nice sink which was easy to install, we can now get larger plates and dishes in this sink and we now don’t have the problem of the water coming from the faucet hitting the center divider and splashing everywhere like it did with the old double sink we took out.
Many thanks

by:

First of all, I would like to thank Madison for being one of the greatest customer service representative I have ever dealt with. Thank you!! I haven't had a chance to install the sink in the RV, but it is a perfect fit and arrived in good condition. Shipping was fast. Customer service is excellent. Prices were fair. I will be doing repeat business with etrailer in the future.

I renovated a 2008 Thor Chateau Sport 29R. The old sink was useless and had to go, it wasn't even 5" deep. I searched a long time and finally decided on the white Better Bath RV Kitchen Sink due to the precise measurements of the current stainless-steel sink. I removed the old sink and found that the opening in the counter was slightly smaller. I measured several times and determined what the opening should be. I was nervous but determined. It turned out to be the perfect fit. I really like the sink, it's classy and modern looking

by:

Just received yesterday and haven’t installed. As far as appearance and construction, it appears to be the same as the standard type sink that all manufacturers use. So nothing exceptional.

by:

Just what I needed, fit perfectly and relatively easy to install. I replaced a divided sink which had two strainers and drains so I had to re-configure the drain pipes. That’s not easy unless you have some plumbing experience.

by:

My wife loves it. It's so much bigger than the double sink we had. There is plenty of room to fill and wash pots & pans.

by:

The replacement part was just as described and shipping was fast

by:

Nice sink, easy to install.

by:

It’s a exact replacement

by:

Easy replacement and perfect fit!

by:

Fantastic service. Have not installed sink yet, but it looks to be of good quality. Placed order and received in three days. Excellent

by:

No packing materials were in the box. So, during shipping, the top of the sink was scratched. This is the part that sits on the counter. I'm a little disappointed but, hopefully, they will buff out.

by:

Looks great and the center tapers so water runs toward the drain. As long as your RV is level of course.

by:

My package came in, however it was missing a part and had to wait another week

by:

This is exactly what I needed for my camping trailer. Hard to find the correct size, but you had it. Prompt delivery also. Thanks.

by:

Ordered this for our tiny mountain cabin fit was good, sink is a little lighter product than I would like but it will work fine.

by:

Love this big sink! Can now wash things like frying pans without a huge mess

by:

Very very pleasant people to deal with. Helpful.

  • Replacement RV Sink Options For A 13-3/8" x 24-1/2" Cutout Hole
The closest double bowl option that we currently offer is the Better Bath RV Kitchen Sink - White # LC29FR. This sink is a top-mount drop-in design and would require a cutout hole 23.94" W x 16.44" L so you'd have to trim the cutout hole larger in order for it to fit. It also comes in gray # LC808488 and parchment # LC85ZR. We do offer a single bowl option, part # LC42UD, that's an undermount design and would have enough of a lip to mount in your 13-3/8" x 24-1/2" cutout hole.

  • Why Do Some Kitcken Sinks Not Have Holes for the Faucet
Some RV sinks include holes in them while others are designed for the faucet to be installed to the countertop on their own. In the case of the Better Bath Double Bowl RV Kitchen Sink - 25" Long x 17" Wide - White # LC29FR, the faucet would need to be installed to the countertop on its own. There really is no rhyme or reason why some are designed with and some without so you can actually change styles if you have the countertop space to do so. The only double sink that we have to match...

  • White RV 2-Compartment Sink Recommendation
The LC209401 has been discontinued but the Better Bath Double Bowl RV Kitchen Sink - 25" Long x 17" Wide - White Item # LC29FR is the closest product to it and comes in white like you were looking for. This sink is an extra 3/8" in length so you may have to trim the cutout hole just a bit to get the sink to fit. This sink is also an 1-3/8 deeper than the LC209401.
