Video Transcript for Review of MB Sturgis Brass Adapter - MBS77FR

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a look at the three-eighths inch nail flare fitting by a quarter inch male pipe thread brass adapter. Now, on one end right here you can see it as a three eight size male SAE flare fitting and on the other end is a quarter inch male pipe thread adapter. This adapter is a solid brass construction. Now, the wrench size to use on this to tighten it down is 18 millimeters and the overall length on this, we put a ruler on it from one end to the other, is right at one and a half inches. But, that should do it for the review on this three eighths inch male flare by one quarter inch male pipe thread brass adapter..

The LP gas adapter worked very well into the gas shut off end. I used an LP rated sealing tape when installing the pieces together on the 1/4 inch NPT threads only.

See what our Experts say about this MB Sturgis Propane Fittings

  • Should All Propane Connectors Have Rubber O-Rings To Prevent Leaks
Different fittings require different methods of leak prevention so you won't always have a rubber O-ring on the fitting. For example, if we look at part # MBS77FR we see both a flare and NPT fitting. Using sealant tape # 37207-30025 or putty # 37207-30555 on the flare fitting can actually prevent the fittings from fully sealing together and you'll end up with a leak. On the NPT side not using some sort of sealant will likely allow a leak. POL fittings, like the # 204037-MBS you were looking...

  • How To Add In Another Propane Line To A 2020 Tiffin Allegro Red Motorhome
There's too many variables to consider when rerouting propane so there isn't an all-in-one type of kit. Typically if you're routing permanent lines it's recommended to use a copper hard line instead of a hose so you would need a tee like # 37207-30135 to be able to connect the line. You would need a 1/4" male inverted flare fitting to whatever fitting you end up putting on the copper line. Typically a 3/8" swivel flare fitting is used on copper lines so you could get a 1/4" male inverted...

  • Recommended Adapter Fittings To Go From A 1/4" NPT Male Fitting To A 3/8" Female Flare Fitting
From what you're saying you have a 3/8 Female Flare fitting on your regulator and need to connect to propane tank with a pigtail hose. While we don't currently carry an adapter hose to meet this need we do have some adapters that can help get you there. You'll need to hook the MB Sturgis Propane Adapter Fitting # MBS77FR into the 3/8" female flare fitting on the regulator. From there you'll use the MB Sturgis Propane Bulkhead w/ Nut and Lockwasher # MBS47FR to connect that fitting to...
