Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Curt pin and clip with rubber coating for inch and a quarter inch hitches. Now most of the times when you pick up accessories like a bike rack or a cargo carrier, they're gonna come with a pin and clip. And if you have a Class I or Class II, which is gonna be your inch and a quarter, it's gonna be a half-inch pin and clip. So when you pick up a ball mount, so on my car here sometimes I put a utility trailer that's pretty small but it does not come with a pin and clip and you're gonna need something to hold that in place. So might as well get one with a little bit of comfort here with the rubber coatings on the pin and clip separate. The rubber coating is pretty nice here because on a cold day like today, it keeps this not so freezing cold and also you just have a little bit more grip on both of them.
Sometimes it's hard to get these pins out, especially after some road grime and corrosion builds up. So when having your finger on here it makes it a little bit easier to pull the pin or the clip out. So we'll just shoot our pin in. This is just gonna snap in place. And also once it's on, it actually looks pretty nice because the black matches the hitch and also the car here.
So it just makes it a little bit more subtle looking. So if you need an extra pin and clip for your accessories or for your ball mount, you might as well get something with a little nicer touch to it when you're putting that in place. Now if you're looking for a locking pin and clip we also have those available here at etrailer as well. That way you can leave the ball mount or your other accessories on, lock that in place and they're gonna stay on the vehicle and not walk away in the hands of someone else. Rubberized, plastic-coated ends give you a secure grip for easy installation and removal.Just what I ordered, a replacement that somehow came unpinned from my trailer hitch extension hitch and just the anti-rattle bracket kept my trailer from coming loose.
I use these for holding up 2 stands that serve as platforms for the end of my car-hauler trailer. They work perfectly, they are just the right size and as usual, etrailer got the order right and on time.

This worked as expected. If you are looking for a hitch pin and clip for a 1.25" hitch, this is the one. Do not skimp out and get the cheap one without the rubber coating, your cold fingers will be slightly happier. No, not that happy, a little less, but still, this is the hitch pin and clip for 1.25" hitches that you want.
Got my two orders, a trailer hitch, draw bar, pin and ball, didn't order all the 1st time. It was easy to find everything I needed on the site. The videos that showed how to install the hitch and wiring on my particular vehicle were to the point and easy to follow. at least one tip the guy gave, was to get yourself some extra zip ties, which I did and found it to be a great tip, (don't remember if he mentioned length, but I got some 8 or 10" and at a couple points it made it easier, It may have something to do with my age). Without the videos, I most likely wouldn't have tried to install any of it myself, it took me about 6 hours or so with breaks here and there but I am very satisfied. would add pictures but not at all tech savvy, have everything I need, just can't get them on there. excellent quality and workmanship
Works fine. One issue is that due to the orientation of my hitch chain connections, I always have to install the cotter pin from below. In order to prevent the cotter pin from falling out due you vibration and gravity, I zip tie the back end of the cotter pin
CAROL., UNFORTUNATELY THE PIN DOES NOT FIT . BECAUSE OF THE LOCATION OF THE HITCH RECEIVER , THE CLIP WILL NOT SLIDE THRU THE HOLE IN THE PIN . THERE'S NO WAY TO SECURE THE PIN . GUESS I SHOULD REQUEST A REFUND .
Original stainless pin was cut off by body repair guy. Ugh. Bought this one and will grease the hitch well when installing. Great price; fast shipping; just what the trailer ordered.

All parts fit as required. Only problem was the instruction for the hitch was for a different auto. It was simple enough to install with the install video. Good product.

The pin worked fine. Eventually o replaced with a locking pin.
Great fit and a year later and the coating is still on the pin and clip. No rusting have happened even after a brutal Iowa winter
After one year this pinand clip are still like new! Of course i store them in my trunk after usage but still work great!
All of the parts fit our needs, and I have just made another small order for our trailers.
Awesome, works well and the rubberized grip makes it easy to use. It costs slightly more than one without the rubber so why not get this one.

These replaced the pins to hold the tongue on a old fold up trailer. They work better than the originals.

Nice parts, snug on my installation due to trim pieces, but I think they'll work nice for the long run.
