Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at our hitch pin. This is going to be a durable, 1/2 inch diameter carbon steel hitch pin that will allow you to secure your ball mount or other hitch mounted accessory to your 1 1/4 inch hitch receiver. This does include a retaining clip so that you can make sure the pin is going to stay in place. Our usable length of the pin from where that hole is for our clip to where we're going to start having an angle here is gonna be 2 1/2 inches.
So, that should work for just about all your inch and a quarter inch hitches out there, but just make sure that your outer diameter of your receiver tube opening is going to allow for that, which it should. You can see the pin and the clip both have this black e-coat that is going to help resist corrosion. So, it is gonna be nice and long-lasting. Like I said, it does have that nice, durable carbon steel construction. So, it is going to be very durable and long-lasting for you.
