Etrailer’s customer is actually customer service. There’s real people who are there to help. Kate helped me get my order the next day after I realized I accidentally switched the billing and shipping addresses on the order form.

Comments
Still works the same as when I purchased it.

by:

Exactly what I needed. Now able to add storage box and still pull tow Dolly.

Comments
Works great, pull out tow dolly with small SUV. Also pull 14’ flatbed trailer hauling my Kawasaki Mule.

I contacted etrailer and spoke with Terri N. I had previously purchased on 3 separate occasions another brand of dual hitch (none from etrailer) which all bent when pulling my 2018 Jeep Wrangler behind our 2014 Fleetwood Bounder 35K Motorhome with a Hollywood bike frame carrying 2 Rad Power e-bikes. Apparently, we were using the wrong adaptor. She was VERY helpful with information, discouraging more than 1 hitch adaptor and recommended the 10,000 pound dual hitch receiver with a 2-4 in drop/rise. So far, it seems to be working fine. My only concern is that there is not enough clearance to fold up my Blue Ox tow bar while connected to the hitch. Also, the front of the Jeep bumper is VERY close to the bike rack upon turning the Motorhome.

by:

I first went with a ridged brand that had a recall the sent me a replacement (I used the original for approximately one year with no problems)the replacement hitch bent immediately and when I contacted ridged they blamed my driving habits since receiving the roadmaster I’ve added a heavier vehicle and a very heavy spare tire rack and no problems

by:

Very impressed with the quality of this hitch adaptor! I have purchased many items from etrailer and never disappointed!!!

by:

Wanted to be able to combine tow hitch and bike hitch. This required a 2" drop and a 4" rise with a 10K lb capability. Etrailer.com came thru with product, price, special free shipping, and great customer service. Ordered on Sun and received on Wed and installed on Thur and ready to go!

Comments
After 1 year this product is still working as day 1.
John O - 03/31/2015

by:

I bought the dual hitch to allow me to carry my bike rack at the same time be able to leave my tow hitch attached. It works great!

Comments
Excellent option to add a bicycle rack when towing. Easy to use. Well made. I highly recommend.
Ed - 07/03/2021

by:

Indescribable/rugged a little on the heavy side but that’s what you need to take the abuse of pulling up to 10000#s

by:

Item is well made and will provide more flexibility with having a bike rack hitch and towing hitch at the same time.

by:

Its great, showed a lot of people. Every one i showed said they want one.

by:

This was a change to ensure it met the 10K tow capacity of the Roadmaster system. The bike rack and the tow system are a little close so considering another extension for the Roadmaster system to allow a little more clearance when turning.

by:

Love it !
Only one I`ve found that fits
my need with both upper & lower receivers having a strong tow rating.

by:

Great product, works as expected.

by:

Good quality and heavy duty. Will work great being able to tow my jeep with the bike rack on top.

by:

Thank you . Easy order. Shipped fast. Product is strong. I always get a good experience with E-Trailer.

by:

Great product and well built. Easy access on their website with fast shipment.

by:

Needed a drop hitch for the Falcon 2 tow bar to get within the specified 3" variance off level as specified by Roadmaster. Also, we wanted to have the second receiver for a hitch mounted bike carrier. Problems solved! Thanks etrailer!

Comments
Still performing and doing the job of bicycle hitch and hitch for the Falcon II tow bar.
Jim M - 08/23/2018

by:

This dual hitch receiver was exactly what we needed as it allows us to pull our tow vehicle behind our RV and also carry our bike rack between the RV and the tow vehicle. The dual hitch receiver is very heavy-duty and very well constructed.

Comments
Still working great one year later!!
Steve P - 01/27/2018

by:

Exactly what I needed. Our A class motorhome sits higher than our ex-C class did and angles the toad pull line too much, thus the 4" drop. When pulling our little fishing boat we had no where for our e-bikes, thus the 2" rise. All should be perfect now. Next problem is June and first of July is completely booked with family stuff. Can't test anything until July 12th, 2023. Going fishing. Will update if a problem but I cannot forsee one.

by:

Received my 4 inch hitch adapter almost two weeks ago. Finally had the time to install and test it on my RV. The adapter fits great and the welds look very well done. The 4 inch drop along with my blue ox’s 4 inch drop are the perfect combination for my tow package. I plan to add a new bicycle carrier in the near future and this adapter was chosen with that in mind.

Comments
1 year usage and still great purchase for towing my Mini Cooper. I love the versatility of adding my bike carrier in front of the toad vice being on back of towed car.
James - 02/17/2020

by:

Our new double 10000lbs rating receiver is perfect on our class a. Now can 4wheel down tow our Honda crv and put our bike carrier on the same receiver with plenty of clearance for the sharpest of turns. Very well made nice piece of equipment. Great service and with pin purchase and receiver, free shipping.

Comments
works great. use it all the time to haul our bikes and tow a car with our rv

by:

Product has worked great. I use it to tow a vehicle behind my Motorhome on the lower hitch and carry two heavy electric bikes on a bike carrier on the top hitch. I have put more than 15000 miles on it so far without any issues.

Comments
Still working perfectly after more than 20K miles and more than a year on the road
Leo S - 03/12/2020

by:

For my toad needed an extension for a 4" drop and a connection for a bike rack. No one locally had what needed. etrailer had the exact item I needed to haul my toad and bike rack on motor home for the rated capacity I needed. Quality built product. Delivered product exactly as shown on web site.

Comments
E-trailer gets it right. After a year. No issues. Dont just buy, call and they can get you the right product for your application.
Mr. G - 08/24/2020

by:

Reasonable shipping time on my drop hitch. The quality seems heavy and strong. Works perfectly for my needs, allows me to tow car behind coach and carry bike rack at same time. Very happy with this product and recommend purchasing from Etrailer.

Comments
hitch is working great and my opinion is the same now as it was a year ago.
William - 04/17/2020

by:

Very well made with nice powder coat finish. Purchased to allow use of hitch mounted bike rack(when toad is connected) and get tow bar within "safe" zone for level towing. Like option of different drop length. Great service and fast delivery.

Comments
Still performs as expected. No issues so for.

  • Recommendation To Allow Towing With Weight Distribution System and Use Bike Rack
The Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter, 4" Drop/Rise # RM-077-4 is rated for up to 10,000 lbs towing, but only 400 lbs tongue weight and is only intended for flat towing. The manufacturer notes this should not be used for towing. There isn't a dual hitch adapter that is compatible with a weight distribution hitch, but there is a ball mount that is rated for this use and can use a cargo carrier or bike rack at the same time. I recommend the Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked...

  • Parts Needed to Flat Tow 2003 Chevy Tahoe
I have a solution for you, but a front mount trailer hitch like the # 31302 can only be used for a winch or for pushing around a trailer to get it in the right position; you can not use it to tow your 2003 Chevy Tahoe. You would not be able to turn properly with a single attachment point at the center of a 4 wheeled vehicle, it's not really going to be an option for you. To safely flat tow a vehicle you will need a special attachment called base plates, a tow bar, safety cables, lighting,...

  • Dual Receiver Hitch Adapter to Use Hitch Bike Rack and Tow Bar
I suggest the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter # RM-077-2 which will fit your 2-inch hitch and provide the dual receiver opening you need to use your hitch bike rack along with your tow bar. This item carries a flat towing capacity of 10K and a tongue weight rating (TW) of 400-lbs. You can lock it to your RV hitch with pin lock # e98880. If you need more rise/drop instead use similar Roadmaster part # RM-077-4 which has 4-inches of rise/drop.

  • How to Carry 4 Bikes with a 2011 Ford Escape Towing Trailer
4 bike racks are pretty long and typically aren't able to be carried with a dual hitch adapter when towing a trailer as the bikes/rack ends up interfering with the trailer. I do have a solution though. You are going to have to install a roof rack to carry your bikes. For that you would want the Evo Raised Rail Feet # TH710401 and 53" WingBar Evo Crossbars # TH711420 for if you have raised roof rails on the roof or if you have a naked roof the part numbers # RRVA126B-2, # RRRLKVA and #...

  • How to Use a Hitch Mount Bike Rack While Flat Towing and Using a Blue Ox KarGard II
Unfortunatley, the Karguard II will be in the way of the bike rack installed into the top receiver of the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver # RM-077-4. An alternative option may be to add a trailer hitch receiver on the back of your towed vehicle and install the Yakima Holdup (part # Y02443 for 2 inch hitches or # Y02445 for 1-1/4 Class II hitches) on it. If you provide me the year, make, and model of the vehicle you're towing I'm happy to recommend a hitch receiver.

  • Best Way to Carry E-Bikes While Flat Towing Vehicle
The best way to carry e-bikes is on the Hollywood Racks RV Rider part # HLY64FR as it's rated for the heavier bikes, can work on motorhomes, and can work on flat-towed vehicles. See attached review video link. Then you'd also need a dual hitch adapter so that you can carry the bike rack and the tow bar with the # RM-077-4 if you don't want the rack on the towed vehicle. The upper hitch opening will carry the bike rack and the lower one will attach to the tow bar.

The only possible way I can think to do what you're asking about would be to use a multi-purpose ballmount like part # D210. Sounds like you want to install the Ultra Fab Hitch part # UF35-946401 vertically so that the opening faces up instead of behind the RV. I can't safely recommend you do that since the hitch hasn't been tested in the orientation.
