Recommendation To Allow Towing With Weight Distribution System and Use Bike Rack

Question:

I have a 2005 Jayco Featherlight 29 BHS Trailer. We use a weight Distro Hitch to pull it with a 2019 F150 with Tow Package. I would like to use the Roadmaster 077-4 Dual Hitch Receiver with a Bike Rack on top and a Weight Distro hitch on the bottom to pull the trailer. Can you verify if this should work?

The Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter, 4" Drop/Rise # RM-077-4 is rated for up to 10,000 lbs towing, but only 400 lbs tongue weight and is only intended for flat towing. The manufacturer notes this should not be used for towing.

There isn't a dual hitch adapter that is compatible with a weight distribution hitch, but there is a ball mount that is rated for this use and can use a cargo carrier or bike rack at the same time. I recommend the Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers - 2" Hitch - 10" Drop/Rise - 10K # 325-GH-315 which will allow you to use your weight distribution system and your bike rack but you do need to invert it.
