The directions were very clear and it required minimal effort.
Shipped ahead of schedule in excellent condition. Kuat Pivot is built extremely well, heavy duty, and looks sharp.
Etrailer made the ordering process very easy. Delivered as advertised and on time. Oh yea, the product works great! I connected a Hollywood Bike rack and have easily hauled 2 fat-tire e-bikes around 10K miles without any issues. That said, keep in mind it extends the distance out from receiver about 18-24 inches before you connect anything to it so things “shift” a bit more especially on bumpy roads and highways. Regardless, recommend and would purchase again if/when needed.
This swing-away arm is PERFECT! We bought this for our campervan conversion so that our bikes can swing out of the way to have rear door accesss, without taking bikes off the rack. Specifically, we wanted it to swing toward the driver's side, so that there is a clear walking path from the passenger side sliding door to the rear doors. The only negative is that the swing-away arm adds another foot to the rear of the van, so you have to be sure to have ample room for parking in parking lots. It sticks out way too far for city street parking, so we had to take off the bikes, remove extension, store extension in van, and then put regular rack & bikes back on while parked in a city for a few days. Not a problem, just something to be aware of.

The swing arm still works great! It occasionally needs a little lubricant to stop minor squeaking, which is normal maintenance. It is strong enough to handle a Kuat bike rack holding a 60lb. E-bike and another bike. Two thumbs up!!
Great product. Does what I needed it to do. Solved a problem. Well made. Well worth it. Make sure you get the correct swing away - driver or passenger side.
I love this thing! Kuat just makes the best quality stuff and etrailer.com was able to get it to me ahead of schedule despite all the global supply chain issues we are all dealing with. They kept me updated on the delays and offered other options but I ease willing to wait for the Kuat model. Great customer service and I absolutely love the swing away arm from Kuat. I have a Jeep and this makes it so that I can open the tailgate with the rack attached. It is so sturdy and well built too.
The swing out feature of the Kuat allows access to both rear doors. The swing out is a simple two step process which is not physically challenging which is important for a 73 year old. Hitch lock up is solid and secure with a release lever as a backup.
Driverside swing is very helpful since access to the Travato sliding side door for camping is on the passenger side. I therefore do not have to move around the loaded bikes to access the side door.
Swing out provides easier loading of the inside bike, allowing two people to load the heavier eBike. This was an unanticipated advantage.

Kuat hitch to the Travato hitch and the Yakima hitch to the Kuat hitch were all very strong and solid. Both the Kuat and the Yakima have strong built in hitch tighteners which create a solid not wiggle fit. With two hitch points this is a critical part of the hitch design.
Very pleased with the Kuat to this point. A 100 trip with the bikes loaded is planned to determine if the system maintains the tight and secure fit and how well the bikes ride with the rack extended this far from the rear bumper of the Travato. My rear view camera will be very handy.
My only concern at this point is the distance of the bikes from the back of the Travato. I anticipate that some driving modifications and extra care will be required to limited bounce and flip of the whole unit. I am pleased that the bikes ride a safe distance above the ground.
Thank you again for you efforts in getting the hitch to me in time to enjoy some early (though limited access due to Covid 19) summer trips.
Easy to assemble and seems to be good quality. A bit difficult to insert into 2 inch hitch. Fit is very tight. Would recommend some lubrication on item prior to insertion. Tightening mechanism worked well. Solid fit and no wiggle.

Swing out extender has worked out well. No issues
Awesome product! I was looking for something to work in conjunction with my spare tire carrier on my Outback, and specifically needed a swing out that went to the driver's side. It seems everything on the market swings out to the passenger side and that was not what I needed. Product is extremely high quality and had minimal assembly. I am very happy with this product.
Perfect for my truck camper to move mounted bikes out away from my truck RV. Perfect solution to access camper and on my SUV back hatch gate.
Love this product it lets me open up both rear doors on my 2022 Nova RB
Great product. Very nice locking cam lock anti rattle feature. It took forever to get but we all know the world is upside at the moment.
Works as expected. Great to be able to move the bikes out of the way and get into the back of vehicle.
1 Thing ! The lever that releases the swing out has a screw that will fall out down the road if you don’t use THREADLOCKER ! Other than that AWESOME!!!
Easy to install. Works great.
Have a new Ford Bronco. Tailgate with spare tire swings to right to left toward the passenger side). Kaut makes the only swing extension that allows cargo box, bike rack, or hitch rack to swing to the left (drivers side) allowing the tailgate to swing to full open position. Because the swing away hitch is also a hitch extender hitch more than adequate space is gained to allow for no interference with either a 33 or 35 inch tire. Because downsizing from F-150 additional storage/hauling space is now easily added without interfering with opening and closing of tailgate. Other companies make similar swingaway hitch extenders, but only Kuat solves the Bronco and Jeep passenger side tailgate swing with a drivers side swinging hitch. Problem solved and happy as punch. E-trailer wonderful to work with as always.
Seems like it was built to last. Has a smooth transition from the locked position to 90 degrees. Only complaint is the amount of play in the hitch receiver. I will have to get a spacer of some sort to reduce the amount of play from left to right. Haven't taken it on the road yet so we will see how well it holds up in transit.

So glad this arrived after being on backlog. Got a Swagman with two EBikes on the back of my Sprinter van. Waiting on the Kuat swing away, had to remove the bikes and Swagman to open the rear doors.......Awesome. The Kuat swing away is a solid piece of hardware, love the locking anti-rattle feature. Combined with the Swagman, not much movement even with two 50 lb bikes. Very little assembly with the Kuat.....went on in about 3 minutes ; ). Definitely recommend for anybody requiring rear access to their vehicle.
have been searching a long time to find a rack for the back that would work with the back of my truck camper. I’m in joy shock! I just finished the super easy assembly and installation. With having sever styled of hitch bike racks to choose from...mine all fit!!! Thank you .
This is my second pivot. I had the passenger swing arm prior and I also bought the NV 2.0 with add-on through etrailer.com which was my third NV 2.0. Theses racks are the BEST!!!!!!!!!. No need to ever buy another rack system in my opinion. Unfortunately this new gear went on my RV which is now covered for the winter so action pics are not currently available. I also have to say the etrailer.com was did a great job keeping me in the loop with delivery times due to COVID and greatly appreciated the continued updates until all my gear arrived. Much appreciated!

Very high quality but I have come to expect that from Kuat. It does make the bike rack stick out a little more than I would like but it is worth it to have access to the back of the Jeep.

Love this thing. Really useful if you ever find yourself in need to get into the back of your car when you have anything on the hitch bike rack, cargo rack, etc.
