Dual Hitch Recommendation for Flat Towing Car and Carrying Bike Rack at the Same Time
Question:
I would like to use the bolt on 200 lb. receiver on my motorhome to toad 8 in. riser. Can I use the u-bolts at 90 degrees to normal? This would allow me to carry bikes between the motorhome and towed Ford Edge instead of on the back of the Edge where they block the tail lights and rear hatchback. Otherwise I plan to buy a 4 in. riser and weld to the top of my 8 in. riser.

Sounds like you want to install the Ultra Fab Hitch part # UF35-946401 vertically so that the opening faces up instead of behind the RV. I can't safely recommend you do that since the hitch hasn't been tested in the orientation.
A better option would be something like the # RM-077-4 that has a 4 inch rise built into it so that you can install the rack in the upper opening and use your tow bar in the lower one.
