How to Carry 4 Bikes with a 2011 Ford Escape Towing Trailer
Question:
I have a 2011 Ford Escape that came equipped with a 1-1/4inch x 1-1/4inch receiver hitch which I use to pull a small pop-up camper. Do you make a dual receiver hitch, similar to the dual hitch receiver RM-077-4 2inch size, but fitting the 1-1/4 size? It would need to match the 3,500 lb rated capacity of the 1-1/4inch x 1-1/4 receiver hitch on my Ford Escape and the top part of the dual hitch to carry a 1-1/4inch four- bike hitch rack.

4 bike racks are pretty long and typically aren't able to be carried with a dual hitch adapter when towing a trailer as the bikes/rack ends up interfering with the trailer. I do have a solution though.
You are going to have to install a roof rack to carry your bikes. For that you would want the Evo Raised Rail Feet # TH710401 and 53" WingBar Evo Crossbars # TH711420 for if you have raised roof rails on the roof or if you have a naked roof the part numbers # RRVA126B-2, # RRRLKVA and # DK099 for a Rhino Rack.
Then for a roof bike rack the Yakima FrontLoader part # Y02103 is our most popular option that would work well. I attached a review video for the rack on a similar Ford Escape as yours.
