  • 60 Inch Tall
  • CE Smith

Lighted guide-on posts make it easy to load your boat onto your trailer and safer to transport it at night. They attach to the rear of your trailer and extend out of the water, providing visual targets to center the boat between during loading.

Features:

  • Guideposts assist you in centering your boat as you load it onto your trailer
    • 1-1/2" Diameter, 16-gauge, pre-galvanized steel tubes are covered with 2" PVC piping for strength and durability
    • Simple installation on your trailer's rear frame rail with included hardware
  • LED lights ease loading process and make trailer more visible at night
    • Glows amber at front, bright red at rear
    • Alerts other drivers to your position
    • Makes trailer easy to see while you are backing it up or loading your boat
    • Features 1-piece, sealed units that are shockproof and waterproof
    • Activates automatically with your trailer's tail lights
    • Longer-lasting and more energy efficient and durable than incandescent lights
  • Simple installation
    • Wires into your trailer's tail lights
    • Adjusts out to 19" from trailer
  • Made in the USA

Specs:

  • Quantity: 2 boat guide-ons
  • Application: trailer frames up to 3" wide x 4-1/4" tall
    • Extra-long U-bolt kit (CE11416; sold separately) is required for mounting on frames up to 3" wide x 5-1/4" tall
  • Height: 60"
    • May be trimmed to a minimum of 40"

Note: Check with your state Department of Transportation for restrictions regarding maximum trailer width.

When your boat trailer has been backed down the ramp and is partially submerged, these 60" tall guideposts that are mounted at the rear corners of the frame will stick out of the water, giving you two highly visible targets to guide your boat between for loading. The built-in LED lights on the posts stand out at night, making it easier for you to load your boat in the dark and for other drivers to see your trailer when you're on the road. The pre-galvanized steel support posts mount horizontally on top of or below your trailer's frame rail. Just slide the posts into the boat guide supports and secure the posts so that the distance between them correctly matches the width of your boat.

Pre-Galvanized Steel

Pre-galvanized steel parts are stamped from a sheet of steel after it has already been galvanized. The edges of the pre-galvanized parts often lose their zinc coating during the stamping process. Because of the thinness of the coating less than 1 mm and the fact that the edges remain exposed, pre-galvanized parts can begin to oxidize and rust quickly, so its recommended that they be primed and painted.

Reasonably sturdy. I have bent them a little at times when recovering the boat but I have been able to bend them back. They do help a lot to align the hull when recovering. I recommend these for boats in the same class as the one illustrated above. Mine is a 16' Tracker V-hull. I have installed the running lights on the top and they work great! Also, they help a lot when backing down the ramp because even though I can't see the boat very well, I can see the white uprights. Additionally, I have marked the uprights for the correct depth to stop the trailer when launching.

by:

Awesome and quick service. Very easy to install. I have a Rangertrail trailer. It took a little thinking because the trailer has running boards in front and behind the fender wells. No open c-channel. Marked 2 holes on top with bracket in place across c-channel underneath. Drilled 2 holes on each side. After that very easy. Followed video on YouTube. Thanks for a great product and great service. #CE27760

Still works great. Thanks

by:

Well-designed, but not well packaged. Need packing around the PVC tubes to prevent gouges from the metal parts as they rattle in the box. Could use a little longer wiring for the lights to tie in with the trailer lights.

Just what I wanted!!

Service:
I ordered on a Sunday
night. Received three emails that very evening. One from Customer Service, then George and finally one from Joseph confirming shipment. On Thursday the day of delivery, I received two emails informing me the item was due to be delivered that day and that it had been delivered to my door. Last, I received an email from Debie on Friday confirming receipt. WOW talk about customer service. You people are first class! I’ve been in customer service for the past 20 years and it doesn’t get much better than that.

Product:
Sturdy well-built product that provides a great look to my new 21ft Sea Hunt and Venture trailer. Can't wait to test it out when the weather warms up.

Tip:
Instead of running the light wires between the tubing and PVC guides you can start at the short end of the galvanized tubing with a finish nail and thin string. Drop the nail through until it comes out the top (long part) of the galvanized tube. Attach the string to the ground eyelet and second wire with masking tape and pull the wiring through while sliding the PVC guides over the tube as you pull. Gave it a great finished look (will only work if you position the U-bolts far back on the trailer as close as possible to the trailer lights).

Extremely pleased with the service and product - I will be back for my other trailer needs!

Thanks etrailer.com

by:

I had purchased the Fulton boat guides earlier from another firm but had to return them because the U-bolts wouldn't work on my boat trailer (Not enough clearance between the u-bolt end and the bottom of my boat and I couldn't find replacements. I have a 16' Smokercraft Osprey with a bunk type EZ-Load Trailer. I opted to buy the CE Smith 60" guide posts with lights from etrailer.com. It turned out to be a very good decision. Easy install, they fit and work great and they arrived sooner than promised. Thanks etrailer.com!

Amazing customer service

by:

Easy to install. My trailer does not have anywhere at the end to mount them so they are mounted in front of the axle. It does help with being able to see the trailer for backing. I have a rather tall F 350 with a toolbox and could not see the trailer out the back window at all.

by:

Great product! Super easy installation and bright LEDs.

After a year everything is still in working order expect for ground connection. Corroded and lost connection. Just needed to replace and worked just fine. White is still bright and no signs of fading. I dont keep up with it at all so its worst possible conditions and still trucking along. Would definitely recommend!

by:

Great product, easy to install, and works well. I had to trim about 6 inches off the tubes, but that was easily done.

by:

I've used these in the past. So installation was quick and painless. Although I'm still working on how to connect the lights, due to the trailer wiring being internal to the frame, and difficult to access

by:

CE smith guides with LED lights on top look great and are very helpful at night.

by:

Completely Happy with Etrailers excellent service and great products. I had a minor issue that was quickly resolved and your Reps went above and beyond. Thank you for everything. I highly recommend etrailer for all of your towing needs.

by:

I can finally see to back the trailer down the ramp. Guides the boat onto the trailer rollers. Fairly easy to install.

by:

Item was delivered way before the delivery date. Thank you very much. I won’t be putting it on until April but looks awesome, exactly what I was looking for.

by:

Product was a game changer for me. Loading pontoon boat is a breeze now.

by:

I love this product, it was easy to install and it comes so useful in windy days and places without a dock. Lights look awesome as well.

by:

Only issue is they don’t come with waterproof connectors.
Easy to install and really helps loading the boat at night and day. Works as advertised. The lighted bumpers could be improved. The red portion should be hooked to the brake lights and blinkers.

by:

> I was expecting there to be at least some kind of trouble but everything went together like clockwork. Even when we had to look for a missing screw that fell in the grass, we still found it and proceeded according. thank you

The product is still working and doing fine

by:

Great item and easy to install at a good price. I might add fantastic customer service.

by:

Absolutely terrible. The item is loosely packed and the PVC is gouged, scratched and marked up. For the price, I do not recommend this product. Zero regard for packaging and zero interest in providing customers with a damage free product.

Product is of good quality. IMO, running the wires outside the galvanized arms results in unprofessional look. It's a bit tricky, but running the wires inside the arms and drilling a small exit hole in the short section is much neater. The wires on my Karavan trailer were easily accessible under the at the cross bar (covered by a rubber cap); that's where I tapped into the brown wire. To protect the trailer finish from the U-bolts, I wrapped a piece of indoor-outdoor carpet around the frame and bolted the guides over the carpet. I'll try to get a photo of my install.

Still great one yr later. I used rubber gromets where wires come through brackets

by:

Too flimsy for the pontoon boat. Can't barely touch it or they bend. I don't have any photos of the guides after it was bent. The very first time I put the boat on the trailer with the guides installed I approached very slow, as always, assuming the guides would assist a bit more than they did in squaring the boat for getting it on the trailer. I removed the bent one and straightened it. They do help guide the boat once the boat is squared up, but they are not ridged enough to help to square up the boat to drive it onto the trailer.

I reached out to the manufacturer who advised that part # CE27670 would be a better option as it is made for pontoon boats and it has pre-galvanized steel tubes are covered with 2 inch PVC piping for strength and durability.

The CE Smith Post-Style Guide-Ons with LED Lights for Boat Trailers - 60" Tall I ordered and received is as described and what I was expecting. Arrived when promised, good packaging, good installation instructions and all parts were in good condition.

Still happy with Post Guide w Lights. Just what I needed and looks good. Will buy again if I were to get another plain trailer.

by:

Love these guide-ons with lights. Makes loading at ramp much easier. e-Trailer beat the competitors in price as well. Would definitely buy again if I ever got another boat as these are a must have now in my book.
