Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the replacement mounting hardware for CE Smith Roller-Style Guide-Ons. This hardware kit provides you with the items you need to replace the mounting hardware for your roller-style guide-ons on your boat trailer. The brackets are made from steel so they're very strong and durable. All the metal components have protective finishing on them to keep them safe from rust and corrosion.With this kit you get two pre-galvanized mounting brackets. You'll get two formed U-Bolts and two straight U-Bolts. You get two square caps, which insert into the top of each upright post.
And you get the required washers and locknuts for installation. Now, the brackets can be installed on top or underneath the trailer frame, whatever installation option works best for your application.The product is made in the USA. Few measurements to go over with you real quick, and then I'll show you the installation instructions. When it comes to these U-Bolts, the U-Bolts measure five inches from the bottom of this point here to the end of the threads, and then the distance between the posts, that's the threaded posts, looks to be about three and a half inches. That measurement was taken from inside edge to inside edge.
Each one would measure the same. When it comes to the brackets, these brackets measure about 4 5/8 inches long by 3 7/8 inches wide. Then the opening right here, that gives us a measurement of about 1 5/8 of an inch to 1 11/16 of an inch, right in that area.Again, really nice design, protective coating, keeps them safe from the elements. Right here's the installation instructions. I did mention that you have two form U-Bolts and two straight U-Bolts.
That's so that you can cross them like this application here. That's designed for two inch wide frames or you could run them straight like this one, which would be for a three inch wide frames. Very disappointed, the mounting hardware is weak and is rusting very badly! Trailer was flushed after every use, Not recommended for saltwater use!
Perfect for my 18 foot Klamath, I use it in the ocean for Salmon and cod. Salt water was causing mild pitting to my aluminum, trapped behind my old carpeted side bunks, I caught it in time and just hit it with a little sand paper. Didn't even know I had pitting it until I put my new roller style guides on. This product shipped fast, had all the hardware plus instructions. Fits 2 or 3 inch frame I have the 2" I bought 2 sets for my 18 foot boat. Excellent product, no doubt!

etrailer is a tier 1 supplier. Website is easy to naivate, the comminucations from order to delivery is second to non, and the products are not crap. .l
They look exactly like what I ordered. I wish I could give etrailer a review on their horrible shipping department. My order kept getting bumped back because I chose the cheapest shipping fee. I didn’t know that meant the warehouse and shipping personnel would also take their time getting my order sent…

I have no idea. I sold the boat shortly after installing them.
Originally came with wrong part [formed u-bolts missing], etrailer quickly sent out new parts. Installed on the trailer, works perfectly to replace a broken bracket.
Material was very good quality

Still working great to help load our 18 Tracker Party Barge onto the trailer. In fact without them it would be very hard with any wind blowing at all!!
Heavy duty, thick galvanized coating. Should last for a long time.

Just fine
Kit is great. I am replacing my brakets that have broken after 8 years of use. They say they are galvanized but to me they look like cold rolled steel. Time will tell. Maybe they just have a light coat. Great price.

Nice kit, mounted up guide post with them. I painted all the pieces as zinc plating doesn't stand up well to salt water.

Towed the boat all the way to Port Aransas Tx. No problems
A few days after making the order I received an email from etrailer indicating that there would be a delay in delivery until early next month and the items that I needed had to be shipped first from a manufacturer. I called the emailer to discuss but it was a Friday afternoon and I did not reach him. Later that evening I got an email from etrailer indicating that my order would be delivered within 5 days and it arrived on time as they said! Someone at etrailer must have gone the extra mile for me. It was much appreciated as I could not wait until next month. It saved me an expensive trip to the trailer dealer.

I kept getting "been delivered" notices for 2 days before it was delivered. The part was correct.
this replace the original parts so i hope they last as long. If you have friends that run into the bunk broads then they might break sooner.

Still holding up
After many years of travel and loading in high winds, one of my clamps suffered a fatigue crack and had to be replaced. I use two sets of guide-ons on my trailer to help center my 22ft sailboat. With a double set, it only takes seconds to load.
The mounting hardware I purchased is my second purchase from Etrailer. I bought them to mount an Etrailer guide for my jetski hoist. High quality, timely order and fair price.
My order was correct and arrived in the time frame I expected. The items purchased worked as I hoped they would and I was safely towing my boat within three hours after receiving my order.

This was one of the most remarkable buying experiences. The deliver was set up immediately. Tracking my package with the link sent by etrailer was great as I didn't have to go to another site. My order came very quickly and the product quality was perfect. Any other parts I need for my boating experiences, will come from etrailer.
UPS lost my original order. Etrailer worked with me on my claim with UPS and after UPS paid the claim, etrailer promptly processed a replacement.
The product was very sturdy and great. Unfortunately I can’t use it because I needed the clamps for the i-beam trailer and not this one. This was my mistake on ordering. I’ll just sell this one and purchase the correct clam kit for my I-beam trailer. Overall great quality and fast shipping!
The square u bolts are short for my application. Will use on another project.

I would say that it is not uncommon for the u bolts to be rusted. The zinc coating is thin and overtime will oxidize. It is recommended that they be primed and painted. You can remove the rust and use rust resistant paint to help protect it.
