Better Visibility for Launching and Loading
If you need better visibility when launching and loading your boat, there's no need to buy new guide-ons; these post extensions simply slide into your existing bunk-style guide-ons. The PVC pipes provide a visual aid to help you back your boat trailer down the ramp when you're launching your boat. And when it's time to load your boat, they'll stick out of the water and give you 2 highly visible targets to guide your boat between.
Easy Installation with Included Hardware
You don't have to be a boating expert to install these post extensions for bunk-style guide-ons. All you need is some tools, a friend, and a little bit of patience.
After you've slid the post into the opening, you'll need to choose how tall you want your guideposts. With the combined height of the steel upright and the PVC tube, you can add 33", 35", or 37" of height onto your guide-on.
If you're not sure which height is best for your boat trailer, have 1 person sit in the boat while the other adjusts it to the different heights.
Once you've chosen your desired height, it's time to re-attach the bunk to your guide-on. If you haven't phoned a friend yet, now's the time to do so. You'll need extra hands to hold everything together while you install the mounting hardware.
Repeat this process with the other guide-on, and you'll be ready to launch and load your boat with ease.

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at these CE Smith post extensions for your bunk-style guide-ons. These post extensions are going to help increase the height of your bunk-style guide-ons to give you better visibility when you're launching or loading your boat. These will install very easily. They slide right into the top of your existing carpeted bunk-style guide-on. These are a inch and 1/4 square pre-galvanized steel upright, so they are gonna fit into your inch and 1/2 square openings on your guide-ons, and then they will secure with the included hardware here.
So very easy to get them installed. You are going to get up to 37 inches of added height. So depending on how much you need, you do have several different height settings here. So your minimum height would be about 33 inches, and then these holes are spaced 2 inches apart. So you could go up to 35 and then 37 to the top of our PVC here.
So it is going to give you quite a bit of adjustability to make sure that you're gonna be able to see as you're launching or loading your boat. The distance from the bottom hole here to the bottom of our upright, looking at right about 6 1/2 inches, our overall length here of our upright from end to end, we're right about 32 inches there. The length from one bend to the end, it's gonna be 16 inches each way. And then we are going to, of course, get 2 of these uprights, 2 of these 30-inch-long PVC tubes and the 1 1/2 inch caps for those PVC tubes. So very easy to get these installed and add a little extra visibility for you and make it more enjoyable and easier to get your your boat out on the water, get it back when you're done.
So that completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..
