Today we're gonna take a quick look at the replacement cap flat screw for Thule Bike Carriers. Now this is going to be a replacement from Thule for your bike rack. It's going to allow you to attach your 2 inch shank adaptor sleeve on your bike rack that typically just has a one and a quarter inch stinger.So this is going to go onto your adaptor sleeve, attaches it to the shank of your bike rack and allows you to use it with a 2 inch hitch. The screw itself is going to be M6 by 16 millimeter, has a hex head there, doesn't come with any hardware to get this attached so you will have to provide that on your own.It's going to be about 5/8 of an inch long and the head is going to be about a half inch wide at the widest portion. Again, it does have that flat cap design to fit in nicely so everything will slide into your hitch receiver with no issues.And that's gonna do it for our quick look at the replacement M6 by 16 millimeter flat cap screw of Thule Bike Carriers.

The load stop is fine but I had to modify the base by filing it to fit in the older style trac I have. Are the older style load stops available?

Was exactly what I needed. This is the small screw that secures the 1 1/4 shank to the 2 inch aluminum hitch adapter from Thule. Sits flush when screwed in. If you switch back and forth you are bound to lose this screw.

The bolt you sent me as a substitute for the Thule bike rack hitch is not compatible at all whit the Thule adapter. It was money in the air. I was told that it would work but it did not, very disappointed. I had to go to a local hardware store and get the right bolt. ‘

The best part of my purchase was the help I got from the customer service person who helped me find the correct parts for my Thule bike rack. The bolt that attaches the bike rack to the hitch on my car fell out and it was overwhelming trying to find the right one for my model.

The replacement screws did not fit the threads for the Thule Bike rack 2" adapter to secure the adapter to the bike rack. I had a flat cap screw that had standard threads and it work.
This Thule is a four-bike rack (SWEDEN model) bought years ago but is a great bike rake used on a SUBARU car. Now I have a truck and need to use the 2" adapter but did not have the screw, so I order this one. I would like to know if I can get a refund or store credit. Thank you

Perfect! I bought a used thule hitch bike rack and the screw that holds the 2 inch hitch adapter in place was missing. I tried to find it at home depot with no luck. E trailer had it and its exactly what i needed and was shipped fast.

Worked well with Thule 1.25” to 2” adapter sleeve that we bought from eTrailer. Everything felt secure once it was attached. But $5+ seems needlessly expensive for one screw - wish it was included with the sleeve.
