Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the replacement anti sway attachment for Thule Apex and Helium Aero bike racks. This unit replaces one ant sway attachment on the holdfast cradle of your Thule Apex or Helium Aero bike rack. It fits Thule Apex models TH9025, TH9026, and TH9027 and it fits Thule Helium models TH9042, and Th9043. Now this is designed to work with the cradle and a rubber strap to prevent your bike from rocking back and forth during transport. It attaches to the angled extension on the bottom of the cradle or directly to the cradle if you don't have the angled extension. It protects your bike frame from scratches because it features these really nice, soft thermoplastic elastomer bumpers.
So it's a really nice designed unit. It really cushions it so that way it's not the construction of the bike on bare plastic, but makes contact with these bumpers to protect the bike finishing and the bike frame from scratches abrasions or any type of damage. That's gonna do it for today's look at the replacement ant sway attachment for the Thule Apex and Helium Aero bike racks.

Over the lifetime of my Thule bike rack I have had to order several Anti Sway cradles and Angled Extensions because they keep falling off. Once I install them on the bike rack I pull on them to make sure they are attached securely. Nonetheless, at some point they fall off. I don't understand why. If you have any suggestions, I would apprreciate them. Thank you.
Easy to use. Works well to stabilize any bike we've used on the rack. Due to design of rack remember to remove bar if rack is on the car without a bike. We lost a bar that way.

see product review for the other part that connects to this. It is poor from the viewpoint that they should be one so they are not lost and have a permanent attachment to the Thule bike rack.

I keep losing them. This is a poor design by the manufacturer. However, your service has been absolutely great.
Thanks for keeping me up to date with my order. This was a hard-to-get item for me as I recently lost one off my Thule Helium rack (which was also purchased at etrailer.com along with the hitch!). Service from etrailer.com has always been excellent and I wouldn't look any place other than etrailer.com for hitches or racks.

About a year ago, we purchased a number of replacement parts for our Thule aluminum bike rack. They've all been great. Both anti-sway attachments and straps have held up well, and we've now driven them up and down the US East Coast several times. These Anti_Sway cradles from an Thule Apex Bike rack also fit on the Thule Vertex Bike Rack #TH9028XT.
These cradles have the RDT (Road Dampening Technology) cushioning that is non-marking. They work great to securely hold and cushion your expensive Carbon Fiber Bikes on your Thule Vertex Bike Rack. I've been using these for just over a year now and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND them !!!

Seem to work ok if you make very sure they are tight and only have the blue strips against your bike. I've rubbed the paint off two bike frames. Works much better on standard hardtail frames. Mounting to full suspension bikes using an adapter bar is tricky. I think the extra extension adapter may help but haven't tried it yet.
Bought this to replace one that fell off my new Thule Helium Aero rack after only one week of use! Arrived quickly which is great as we were about to go on a long road trip and these definitely help minimize swaying.
Upon closer inspection, the way this cradle attaches to the rack arms isn’t very secure and I can see how one could easily fall off through normal driving when the rack is not in use – not a great design by Thule. Now I secure it to the rack using the strap even when I’m not carrying any bikes.
Great price from etrailer ,so I also bought an extra one just in case.
Perfect, no problems at all. Best price I could find. Would buy again.
