Designed for your vehicle with a factory tow package, this wiring harness plugs into the quick-connect harness located under your dashboard and into your Hopkins Agility, Impulse, Reliance or BrakeForce brake controller for easy installation.

Tech Tip: The OEM plug in your vehicle is located under the dashboard to the right of the steering column, behind the black pocket in the dash.
This brake-control wiring adapter will simplify the installation of your Hopkins electric brake controller. Once the brake controller is installed, the harness then plugs into a port under the dash. Because your vehicle has a factory tow package, all the wires for the brake controller have already been run from the 7-way trailer connector at the back of the truck to the plug under the dash. If your vehicle does not have a factory 7-way, additional wiring will be necessary to complete installation.

I'm not paying one dime for return shipping. I found etrailer and thought it would be a good deal because i install hitches brake controllers and build trailers. But never again. No way in hell would i select the wrong part. Something happened on etrailers end not mine. 14bucks for return shipping in insane. When it's only a few bucks. But still etrail er should take care of it. I can order it on ebay cheaper with free shipping cheaper than the return price to etrailer. Be careful
Very easy to install. Works great. Just what I needed to control brakes on 16 foot cargo trailer. I bought this to install in 2016 Ford F150. part number HM47845. Needed plug-in simple brake control adapter that i purchased with it.

When we need it, it works great, we now have a new trailer and it has given us no problems
Etrailer was the only Co. that had the harness I needed to attach my plug and play trailer brake to my truck. I needed right away, and it was delivered in record time. Thank you
Easy install, watched etrailer video to find best way to get to factory plug. Made a custom bracket and mounted slide and led where factory controller is supposed to go. Don't use just db tape to mount the main unit use screws. Last thing you want is it flopping in your feet while on the road.
I have a 2018 Ford F150 XLT no tow package: This connector let me install the InSight Plugin brake controller. Just had to add a 30A fuse and it was active off of the factory connector in the dash.
The wiring harness was outstanding! Plugged in and worked great! The delivery was fast and without problems

So far so good I haven't had any problems with it at all it works great.
Was easiest install I have done. Took longer to take panel off to plug it in than get it working. Well worth it no wire splicing.

According to the information provided, you have a 2006 Ford F-150. For that vehicle, youd need the # HM47715 harness. The harness you purchased is for 2009 and newer F-150 models.
