Replaces the nut on 1 standoff for your Stromberg Carlson exterior or bunk RV ladder. Fits Stromberg Carlson exterior RV ladder (LA-401) and Stromberg Carlson RV bunk ladders (LA-460 and LA-466).Have been looking for these insert nuts for quite sometime to repair my boat windshield support mounts. Even specialized fastener companies were not familiar this item. I just so happened to come across these insert nuts for RV ladders and stand-off mounts! I thought a tube is a tube, whether it be on a boat or RV, and I was right. I ordered 4 of them so that I could go ahead and replace all of the old ones before they completely fail, as they are about to. Here is the first one done. The only negative issue I had was that one of the rings fell off of each of the nuts as they were being inserted into the tube. One was the bottom one and the other was the top. However, the one ring seems to be holding fine right now. I included some pictures to include the model of the windshield mount in the event others are having a similar issue.

It was a direct form, fit, function replacement. It corrected the problem I was having with a set that wore out.

I repaired my 5th wheel ladder a year ago and the replacement/repair part is holding up very well. A good part to have in your trailer tool box if you use your ladder frequently
Extremely happy with etrailer. I ordered two star nuts to repair our RV ladder. Order was filled promptly. One of the nuts bottom star popped off and could not be used. Upon receiving an rating form from etrailer, I explained my disappointment in one of the products being defective. Within one hour etrailer replied and stated they would refund cost of one or send new one to replace. I asked them to send a new one. They sent two instead so I would have a spare! Outstanding customer service!
Received the parts in an original plastic bag. Read the installation instructions and used them on my RV ladder. One year later and with many trips to the roof, the ladder is still secure and safe to use. Good OE parts.

Used this product to repair an RV ladder. I didn't even know the name of the part when I started looking, but I found it and etrailer had it . The ladder is still solid, so what more could I ask?
I bought a motor home with a broken ladder extension. It needed a really weird nut that locked inside the tube. I found what I thought might be the right part on etrailer.com and it came in a day or two and voila! It was the right part. First thing that went right on this albatro . . . . I mean motor home.
Money well spent! We drug our ladder upon exit of a RV park.I hesitated to fix it until i found these at etrailer.They were easy to install and got my ladder back to new.
This product should be made entirely out of Stainless Steel...specially when is used on exterior RV ladders. Typically rust and break in the middle of nowhere and no access to roof.
I received my order quickly and accurately. The parts fit easily into the rear step that I had to repair. I will use and recommend ETrailer to everyone.
Item was correct for the ladder I needed to install. However, I had to tap out the hole for the bolt to work. The threads were not complete to properly screw the mounting bolt. This is due to a machinery quality issue. If I did not have a tap and die set this item would not have worked. But after I chased the threads no problems worked like a champ. If I had not had to do this I would rated it Excellent.

This product made the ladder on the outside of the motorhome sturdy and reliable again. It was easy to instale and had no problem with it. Thank You for an easy fix.
Finding small parts is difficult in this throw-a-way world, but I found the part I needed on eTrailer.. Fix it vs buy a new ladder when the old one is still in great shape. Now I can fix it.

Was so simple to repair my RV ladder when I used the insert nut.
The nut was a direct replacement for that that rusted out on my 1997 RV and delivery was fast. BUT, don't just buy the nut, because the bolt doesn't come out of the old one. For a couple $$ more, buy the hole standoff, and don't get frustrated like I did.
Rv ladder needs repair these replacement nut made for a strong and safe ladder once again
