Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and today we're taking a look at the Dometic Toilet Vacuum Breaker. This is going to be a hand sprayer to clean up in your RV, get rid of any kind of stubborn debris in your toilet or maybe clean up around the bathroom in general. So maybe something happened to your original, got broken. Maybe you want to add one onto an existing toilet that you have or maybe your vacuum breaker has gone bad, whatever the case might be. This is going to be a complete replacement kit for all of those parts.Just to go over what we have, we'll have our vacuum breaker here, our new hand sprayer and hose, the holder for our hose, and the hardware to get that installed into the wall.
Then we'll also have our clamps for the hose and for all our water connections to that vacuum breaker. The expander gasket to go into the tank and connect our water breaker into that. And then also, a pressure relief or a strain relief bracket to go over our hoses.As far as how this all goes together, this plug is typically going to go into the bowl of the toilet and then this piece is going to push into that. So you just push that all the way in as much as you can and then push that into the bowl. Then our hand sprayer is going to go onto the smaller barb and it's going to use the smaller clamp to go over that.
Push that all the way on there, and then you tighten down your clamp and then the other side will go to your pedal. And that mechanism there, you'd be using the larger hose for that or that larger hose clip for that. Then on the other end, you'd use this one to connect that clamp there.The strain bracket would actually go in place before you get that hose on there. There's two different sizes. One is a little bit larger, one's a little bit smaller.
That smaller one is going to go over on our smaller hose. The bigger one's going to go over that bigger barb and that's there to prevent our hose from getting pulled too much and then pulled off of that connection. So it's going to prevent that from getting yanked out and then spraying water all over the place. Of course, you want to have your clamp on this side. I'm just getting it there so you can see how that works.The hand sprayer is going to have that same length.
It's going to be about 44 inches long, so you want to make sure whenever you're mounting this bracket that you mount it about six inches above your toilet, just to ensure that you don't have any water dripping out of here. You want to have it a little bit higher than that. Again, it does come with the hardware to get that attached. It's going to be two anchors and then two screws to put in the wall.So all in all, not too hard of a replacement. It does come in white and it should fit several different versions of those Dometic toilets, which we have available here at etrailer.com, along with a lot of other replacement parts. I’m disappointed, the toilet came damaged. The box appeared good, but when I opened the box to install it 11 months later, it was broken and heavily damaged.
The worst thing is that I paid a contractor to drive 60 miles to install it for me. He shows up and it’s broken. So I drive to an RV store the next day to buy another one and pay the contractor for a 2nd day to install it.
I will probably not buy from you again.

Fit perfectly. Should have hose tee upstream of the flush valve so you don’t have to flush to use hose
The hand sprayer was easy to install and makes cleaning the toilet so much easier. A good spray rather that a brush does the trick. The sprayer is pressured only as you press the flush lever on your toilet so there is no leaking or drips to worry about when un-attended.
Great product! No leak and the hose doesn't kink or pull.

Because of the DOMETIC 300 model toilet bad seal defects in the seal design, I purchased a new 300 toilet and disassembled it to silicone all seals permanently
and found now a great time to add the hand sprayer kit. I am sure we will be Happy Campers next spring with a no odor toilet and convenient way to rinse it!

Worth the extra money. Makes cleaning the RV toilet a lot easier. Would buy again. Shipping was ridiculously slow. Also, they had this "add on," but didn't have the toilet AND sprayer combo that they advertise.
