This load resistor prevents the turn signal light on your truck or trailer from hyperflashing when upgraded from incandescent to LED lights. Resistor has right-angle male PL-3 plug on one end and female PL-3 plug on the other end.

Hyperflashing (or rapid blinking) of turn signals can occur when you switch from incandescent lights to LED lights. LEDs draw less power than incandescent bulbs, which often causes your vehicle to think that the bulb is burned out or about to burn out. And this is what leads to hyperflashing. This load resistor prevents the LED turn signal light on your truck or trailer from hyperflashing by mimicking the power draw of an incandescent light.

Today we're gonna take a look at the Peterson load resistor for LED lights. The male PL3 plug on one end, and a female PL3 plug on the other. Now this will help prevent the LED turn signal light on your truck or trailer from hyper-flashing, so that it functions properly. Has a right angle male PL3 plug here that'll connect to the light. And on the other end is the female PL3 plug which will connect to the truck or the trailer. The resistor's right in the middle here.
It is designed to mount to the surface of the truck or the trailer. Now this resistor does get very warm, so mounting it to metal is recommended. This part is made in the USA.Specs on the resistor, it's a 50 watt 10 ohm resistor.
