Speaker 1: Today, we're taking a look at a three wire pigtail for trailer lights. This pigtail with a three prong plug allows you to wire your light to your trailer. This is designed specifically for use with stop, tail, and turn lights, parking and turn signal lights, and warning lights. The wiring runs straight out of the back of the plug, features the male pin three prong PL-3 molded plastic plug which connects directly to the back of the trailer light. Again, it is a three wire pigtail with a three wire design, so your white wire's your ground wire. Black wire is for the tail light, and then red wire's for stop and turn.
On the ground wire, it does feature a number 10 ring terminal, that way you can get that secured to the trailer frame with a grounding screw. Wire length is around 12 inches long, and wire gauge is 18. That's going to do it for today's look at the three wire pigtail for trailer lights.
