I have had this for a year now and have put it through quite a test. After it arrived I attached it and thought that the coil was wound a little tighter than it should have been, which made me concerned that it would pull out of the sockets. This is not a part of the towing package you want to have fail, so it was more than just a passing issue. Nonetheless, two cross-country trips and additional shorter trips and everything worked out perfectly. The connection stayed together, the cable did not drag or rub anywhere, and the lit ends that I thought were a gimmick proved to be really useful, convenient and reassuring, allowing me to check the connection by just looking at it. I would buy this again if I needed to, but I don’t think that will ever be necessary.

Sturdy cable that's worked great for it's intended purpose. The cable seems a little short at first, but extended fine in spited of my dropdown extension that adds another foot between the motorhome and towed vehicle. The soft flexible connectors concerned me, but have never failed & turned out to be a blessing, as I needed a little give to fit around the tow-bar's crossmember. Overall very happy with the purchase.

Worked great while we had the Motorhome but unfortunately had a major Diesel engine problem on way to California last June and cost of a reman engine was not worth the investment in an older RV. So had to sell unit as e in Utah and barely covered our costs of getting back home. But unfortunate things happen and it could have been worse. We had many years of great experiences traveling around the country but mostly in our older but nicely maintained 1992 Pace Arro
Weather has been unkind to my previous connection cord between my motorhome and my TOAD, with the covering peeling back in several places. Maybe I should not leave it out when not in use? I promptly got the new cord when ordered from etrailer and it looks great - adding to my peace of mind as getting ready to head to Florida on Dec 26th.

This extension adapter does have weatherproof jacketing over the wiring for protection. You can use part # CG84VR to stow it in the RV when not in use.

I will look forward to using the coiled extension to supply lights to my tow vehicle from my RV. Previous one I had just wore out and I found this model. It looks the same except for the nite glow feature. I will update review after putting the extension into service.

Used it briefly and it is doing good. Health issues have kept us from being on the road as much as we would have liked.
I needed to replace an older 6 pin round cord. I had started looking in March in Texas,on my way back to the Midwest. Along the route I called multiple trailer and RV outlets. Everyone had suggestions for " jerryrigging " something by buying more connecting devices. Back home no luck until I found etrailer and there was what I needed. The price for a new cable was less than the contraptions others had suggested. the cord is excellent, it arrived promptly and actually looks exactly as pictured. I could not be more pleased
This is a wonderful connection. Work at 100% at 50% of the price of other makes. Well constructed, love the indicator lights on each plug to indicate connections. Sturdy coil, easy to see and firm. If I ever need a replacement shall one quickly. Products arrived quickly and at an affordable price.
Fast Service & great communication
I bought one of these in another brand I think in 2005. It lost its springy many years ago. The outer coating got rotted away so I've repaired it many times by wrapping it in electrical tape but it still worked. The ends on it were metal. I'm happy to have received this one that has springy.
Still using this product. Works well. Light the light in the plug letting you know it is hot/working.

Still working as it should.
I had a difficult time finding a 6 round to 6 round connector for our old motor home to tow vehicle and did not want to change connectors. I found just what I needed from etrailer.com at the best price on the internet. Thanks.
No problems at all. The springing action of the coil makes it easy to position the cable away from the moving parts of the hitch.
Sporty looking cable delivered quickly. Molded plastic ends appear to address issue of pieces coming apart on my old metal over plastic end cable. Once the special little screw falls out or pulls out of the plastic there's no good way to hold it together.
Although I have not used it yet, the molded plastic cord ends appear to address my issue, and it's sporty looking to boot!

Product was shipped quickly and arrived at the designated time. It plugs into my RV and toadie fine. I couldn't check to make sure it works due to where the RV is parked. ETrailer is a good company to buy from. Very reasonable prices and shipping costs
It's been a year and we traveled cross country over 7 months with no issues! Love that it lights up!
High visibility yellow is not only functional but looks cool as well. The lighted ends are neat. Other than that it's a cable and does the job of connecting RV to the toad.

Cord arrived on time as promised. So far it works great, a lot better then my old metal ended one that I kept having wiring problems with and would come unplugged if I didn't wrap tape around it to hold it in.
