Base Plate Kit, Safety Cables, Wiring, 6-Pole Extension, and Plug for RV and 2003 Chevy Tracker

Question:

I have a 2003 Chevy Tracker. I just purchased a Roadmaster ALL TERRAIN tow bar. On my MH I have an existing 6-pin female outlet for the electrical cord. I do not know the manufacturer of the plug. I am wondering if this product HM47055 will fit into the existing plug? Are round connectors universal? I know it will fit on the Tracker end, because I am installing a 6-Pole round connector made by Hopkins 48400. Thanks.

The Hopkins Heavy-Duty Trailer Coiled Extension - 6-Pole Round, # HM47055, will fit your motor home. 6-Pole round plugs will fit with other 6-Pole round wiring, extensions, and accessories. You will need a plug like the Hopkins Endurance 6-Way Trailer Connector Socket - Vehicle End - Ergonomic Design, # HM48420, installed on your 2003 Chevy Tracker. This plug will accept the HM47055 extension. The # HM48440 will not.

You will also need a base plate kit for your 2003 Chevy Tracker. You will need Roadmaster XL Base Plate Kit, # 1012-1. This base plate kit is compatible with the Roadmaster All Terrain Tow Bars.

Next, you will need safety cables as required by law. I recommend the RoadMaster 68 inch Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables, # RM-643.

You will also need a lighting kit. I recommend the Tail Light Isolating Diode System with Wiring Harness, # 38955. I have included two videos show a demonstration and installation of this diode kit.

You will need to check with the manufacturer for instructions on the proper procedure for towing your Tracker because some vehicles must be equipped with a transmission lube pump, an axle disconnect, drive line disconnect, or free-wheeling hubs before they can be towed.
