Specs:
The standard tread on these tires has solid, continuous ribs with very few sipes (or thin grooves) cut into the rubber. These tires are designed for use on trailers, so they don't require the level of traction that would be needed on a vehicle that is braking or steering.
Rambler radials have double polyester cords and double steel belts. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation.
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Taskmaster Rambler ST205 75R15 radial trailer tire in a load range C. Now this is a radial ply tire, so it's great for highway use. Uses double steel belts and double polyester cords, which combine for a nice long life. They do use a nylon tread firming belt overlay around the tire to help prevent tread separation. And this tire is designed to fit onto 15 inch diameter wheels.
The tire size, which will be stamped on the sidewall, you can see it'll say, ST, for special trailer, 205 75R15. The R lets you know that it is a radial tire. Capacity on this is a load range C, which means it's a 6-ply rated tire. Has a maximum load of 1,820 pounds at 50 PSI. Now all the new trailer tires do have speed ratings on 'em now, and they stamp it on the sidewall by using a letter designation and where you'll find that is right after the size we went over, you'll see two numbers for a load index.
And in the letter M at the very end, speed rating M will mean it has an 81 mile per hour speed rating. Now this tire has a standard tread on it, which is a solid continuous ribs, and they have very few sipes or thin cuts that are cut into the rubber. Those sipes are what help with bad weather by breaking up any water underneath the tire. Tires like this are designed for use on trailers, so they don't really require that level of traction that would be needed if it was on a vehicle with braking or steering. This is an ST tire, which stands for Special Trailer tire.
Has sturdy sidewalls so they can handle heavy loads and it is created specifically for trailers. It's not intended for use on other vehicles. This tire will meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications and it does exceed your Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. But that should do it for the review on this Taskmaster Rambler ST205 75R15 radial trailer tire in a load range C.
