Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a look at the replacement right-hand brake shoes for the Dexter 12 1/4 inch duo-servo, hydraulic brake assembly. If you are needing to replace the brake shoes on the passenger side of your Dexter 12 1/4 inch by 3 3/8 inch duo-servo hydraulic brake assembly, identified with our item number 23-403, then these are the shoes that you are going to need. These front and rear pads use automotive-grade, friction materials which are molded to the brake shoes. And the pads are fully bonded, so they are not riveted to the shoes, which are going to give you a lot longer life and more braking torque.
The shoes are also stamped at the top. You have L that is stamped here for the left side and R that is stamped right here for the right side, indicating the position that these go on your brake assembly. Another way to tell the position that these are installed is if you look at the size of the pad on the shoe. The shorter pad as we have here is the primary shoe that will always face the front of the trailer. So, that's another easy way to let you know the position, how these are positioned on your break assembly.
Now, this includes everything that you see here before me. You're going to get the primary shoe. You are gonna get the secondary shoe. And then you are going to get two washer shoe hold downs, and two lock nuts, along with this instruction sheet. Now, since these right hand brake shoes are the replacement from Dexter, you can trust that they are going to fit your 12 1/4 by 3 3/8 inch duo-servo, hydraulic brake assemblies.
