Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at eTrailer.com. Today, we're taking a look at the hook and keeper for enclosed trailer doors. This is going to have a 90 degree angle hook to allow for going around any kind of obstacles, maybe things like an awning arm, and it's going to help to keep your door in place. As we move that out, it can fit into our keeper there and hold that door open so we can get our luggage, or gear, or groceries put in place, in our enclosed trailer or our RV. Whatever you might have with you to be able to do that and not have to worry about that door swinging back, closed at you.It comes with the hardware to get that attached, so we'll have four screws for each side there. This is made out of a stainless steel construction, so we shouldn't have to worry about any rust or corrosion over time with this.
Should be long lasting for us, and be an improvement over those typical plastic keepers. This is not necessarily a direct replacement for those. It might be a little bit different sizing and tension on that keeper. Might need to drill some new holes to get this actually attached. Give you some measurements, so that you know how big these brackets are going to be. Side to side is about one and three quarter inches wide by three inches long.
Our arm here goes out to about four inches, so it extends another inch past our bracket. That's going from the end of one side to the end of that little T section there. The height of our bracket, just for reference, is about half an inch. We go to the top of that spring. The other side, it's going to be pretty similar: three inches by one and three quarters, then about five-eighths of an inch tall. Our arm extends out away from our bracket by about two inches.See that there This is covered by a lifetime warranty from JR Products.
That's pretty much all there is to it for our look at the hook and keeper for enclosed trailer. If you need any other accessories or similar parts of this, or replacement parts for your enclosed trailer or your RV, you can always turn to us here at eTrailer.com. We've got a lot of different options available for you, and a lot of information to help you make your purchasing decision. Thanks for watching and we'll see you next time.
