Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today, we're gonna take a look at this Replacement Passenger's Side Electric Brake Shoe lining. If you're needing to replace your right hand side brake shoe and lining for your Dexter Axle 12 1/4 inch by 3 3/8 inch Electric Brake Assembly, then these are the shoes that you are going to need. Specifically, this fits the Dexter 12 1/4 inch by 3 3/8 inch Electric Brake Assemblies, 8,000 pound, 9,000 pound, 10,000 pound general duty axles with the cast decking plate after the year 2000. These front and rear pads use automotive grade friction materials, which are molded to the brake shoes. The pads are fully bonded, so they're not riveted to the shoes, which will give you a lot longer life and more braking torque. The shoes are also stamped at the top here, L for the left hand side and R for the right hand side, indicating the position that these go on your brake assembly.
But another way to tell the position that these are installed is if you look at the size of the brake pad on the shoe, the shorter pad that we see here is the primary shoe and that will always face the front of the trailer, so that will also let you know the position that these install on your brake assembly. This includes everything that you see here in front of me, you get your primary shoe, your secondary shoe, and some instruction sheets to help you in your installation. Now, again, this is for the right hand side or the passenger's side, if you are also looking for the driver's side, the left hand side, you can find out on our website using item number BP04-240.
