Automotive-Grade Friction Material
Each shoe is lined with automotive-grade friction material for improved stopping performance and longevity. The friction material is fully bonded onto the surface of the brake shoe. This lining is custom-molded for a perfect fit. The edges are tapered to ensure long-lasting performance. This taper, along with the circular grinding that the lining undergoes, helps to prevent cracking and crumbling. This durability helps to prevent mechanical lockup, which can occur when brake shoes are excessively worn or broken.
The friction material is also SAE-N certified, which means that it is an environmentally safe product that complies with California and Washington regulations regarding the composition of brake pads. I am in the process of putting on the shoes. They look good and are fitting as they should. I will know more about them when I get the installation finished and get to put them to the test on the road. As of right now I would recommend the to other customers. I live in a somewhat rural area and parts of this nature are hard to find but thanks to the good people at etrailer they have been able to get me what I needed. Gave the driver a good review of your help and products and he was very impressed sure to get you some more advertising.

The brake shoes fit perfectly, were inexpensive, & were delivered fast and free. The only reason for the 4 star rating is I haven't used the trailer since installing to see how well the brakes hold up.

Use these on a 5th wheel RV. The shoes seem O.K., although I have seen some chunking of brake friction material. Pieces breaking off maybe the size of a nickel. Fairly easy to install but a little awkward to adjust with a brake spoon.

Finally got around to installing the new parts and they fit perfectly!! They also seem to work just as the Dr. ordered. They installed very easily, adjusted as they should and they stop the trailer when applied. What more could I ask for except that perhaps one of your guys come here and install them rather than me doing it !! Just kidding. As far as I can tell everything about them is right on the money. Thanks for the help and info regarding this purchase. Your help and advise regarding these parts for an older (read antique) trailer was very, very helpful in getting the correct parts for an easy install. Thanks again for all your help and advise and looking forward to the next time we do business. Everyone across the country should do business with your guys. You make it so easy.

I received the brake shoes for my dexter axles and had no trouble installing them. They worked great as I took a trip from Missouri to Florida and Back with no issues.
They are well made and were an exact duplicate of the ones that came on the trailer.

These shoes appeared to be exactly like the original shoes on the dexter axle and backing plate. They look like nice shoes, installed fine and performed well on the test ride. Saved money over the Dexters and I'd order these again. Ordering process with etrailer was smooth and reliable as usual.

The brake shoes are a great fit and a good replacement for my friends worn out shoes. The only thing I wish is that the shoes were sold by axle not each wheel. It is confusing.
