Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a brief look together at this Curt replacement shank. Now this is going to replace the shank, the team standard with your Curt channel style adjustable ball mounts. And for your reference on your screen, I am including the model numbers of those adjustable ball mounts that this channel style shank is going to work with. And as you know, this is going to slide into your two inch trailer hitch receiver. And as we have indicated here on our labels, this has a gross towing capacity of 14,000 pounds and a tongue weight of 1400 pounds.
It's also stamped inside the channel. You probably won't be able to see that there from that distance and because it's so dark. And then this does have a maximum drop of six inches as our label tells us and a maximum rise of five and a quarter inches, and then it has a incremental height adjustment of one inch. Now, I do wanna point out that it just includes the shank. You're not gonna get a hitch pin and clip or hitch lock or anything like that.
So what you see is what you get. This is the direct replacement from Curt. So what that means for you is you can proceed with confidence knowing that this is going to fit right in place of the original. You're not gonna have to worry about compatibility issues or anything like that. Well, that's gonna wrap up our brief look today.

The box was damaged and open. I asked the delivery person if they had made sure the bolts were still in the package, with an enthusiastic response they said they were taped up and secure. considering the shank was the only item shipped I had to smile.

The Curt Channel Style Adjustable Ballmount # C45900 does not have the three holes as the anti rattle piece ( # C24DR ) screws into the back of the actual ball part (see picture).
