This replacement ball platform for the Rebellion XD ball mount (45949) is designed to attach to the vertical shank of the mount. It has a 1-1/4" hole to accept a trailer ball with a 1-1/4" diameter shank. Sturdy carbon steel construction.

Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. And this is going to be a quick look at the Curt Replacement Ball Platform. This is an attachment point for your Curt Rebellion Adjustable Ball Mount. So let's take a closer look at it and make sure that this is going to be the right piece for your application. Again, this is a direct replacement from Curt for that Rebellion X 10.
So if you need a new ball mount to mount on to that old system, this will be that piece that you need.The hole here is going to accept a trailer ball with a one and a quarter inch diameter shank. This is made out of a heavy duty carbon steel. So it's going to be very strong and durable. And as you can see, it has that nice dark gray powder coat finish. It's kind of a matte finish to it.So it looks really nice and it seems to be pretty resistant to chipping as well.
The weight capacity for this is limited to whatever your rebellion XD ball mount is. So go off of that for any kind of specs. On the inside, you can see we'll have this rubber piece that's going to help to eliminate any chatter or movement as this has gone down the road. So it should keep it locked in pretty nice and solid. Again, this is going to be a replacement piece.

This product was delivered to me in perfect condition! The Curt Rebellion Shocker hitch is an outstanding product along with the large 1-1/4" ball shank sizes you get 13K for the 2" ball and 15K for the 2-5/8" ball. Combine that with your 15K Shocker hitch and you have quite the system.
Additionally, I have pulled my dump trailer over 10K miles on I40 which is in terrible condition and this hitch system made a world of difference on preventing trailer "banging" at hitch. And yes, you can hear and feel the difference! I'm sold ... excellent product.
